And though it was great for the game as of late it was still mid to low tier compared to old sneak peeks.
This game used to be so great but now it’s like 1 in every 8 updates is halfway decent and because all the rest are completely skippable or just straight up bad that that one decent one is hyped up as the greatest thing ever. Which is sad.

Always been tempted to come back to the game, but then I remember how much of a nightmare it is to catch back up after not playing for a long time.
As someone who's played since 2015 this is probably the best time to take a break for me cause this has been ridiculous for a while and their pattern over the last few months has not been good.
At this point I hate to say this and I am sorry for that but devs are gone too much lazy with their updates like since January I am seeing same old t4 skill effects but with a different text I mean at the end it's just increase your basic attack and increase hp that's it nothing new and they expect from us that people gonna enjoy it I mean what reason you will give me that I am going to buy dr doom and victorious uniform I am so sad man.

For those who don't know, the movie Shrek was being worked on in Dreamworks for quite a while, and animators who failed while working on other projects within Dreamworks, were often sent to work on Shrek. The reassignment was known as being "Shreked" and being sent to "the Gulag".
I am starting to believe that MFF is Netmarble's "gulag" for those who failed in other projects there.
Sad thing is, as long as people continue to play the game and keep pumping money into it, the devs have no incentive to do make any stellar changes. I was VIP 12 and a pretty casual spender in the game for years, but their incessant greed and refusal to increase rewards, mats and crystals at the least while putting out crap characters and lame content left and right have made me rarely play anything outside of dailies. Take away their revenue stream for awhile...lets see if they listen then.

They could give her and other characters ignore in first skill like Gilgamesh which is not very high damage skill but can attack characters when they are in , atleast all of his skills are rotating and used while the battle is on going, they don't need a high burst damage, they just need to cast a skill attack to stop standing while in the fight waiting to die
How likely is it NM will fix Doom. Or do we simply give up on an iconic character and move on from what has been an underwhelming update? F4 uninspiring, Doom poor Victorious mid.....
give up, its not going to happen and even if its going to happen, it will be a mid tier change that will make him 3 tiers under the meta for pvp.

I don't mind these horrible updates IF they changed paywalled characters like luna to crystals. I know it won't happen but it's the one thing i want.
The level of competence between the graphics and coding department is perplexing. I can't help but to think that NetMarble has recruited highly talented and passionate artists, while simultaneously acquiring developers straight out of the bargain basement.
And now I have less reason to waste my Tier 3 ticket on Victorious. Both the boost to her hp support and the fact that she can finally heal were enough to convince me to get the uniform but I didn't know if I was going to unlock her 6th skill. This video helped me make my decision. I will wait on that and see if any other characters come up that make sense to advance.
I wish the devs would point out why we should care about a character they're releasing, like spell it out. Example: "Victorious is meant for Doom support, otherwise Shadowland as a solo character." or "God Emperor Doom was designed for World Boss Legend to help players for Jean and Kang", etc. I know they wouldn't because the mystery and obfuscation gives them more sales from players, but it ends up becoming a backlash like this in the long run.
I love Victorious' concept of HP being the main damage driver and wish it was showcased more by making her a World Boss powerhouse or even a super glass cannon for TLB. She's not good for either and that sucks. Using her for one round of Shadowland? When I can't even get T4 rewards? Get outta here, NM.
Making designated otherworld battle characters is hilarious. What rewards are there after you get your sword? It is just sooooo much effort for all the token rewards that take forever to farm up? They may be half decent if they took like a quarter or half of the tokens that they cost to get them.

I was playing around and used Gorr leadership and Victorious as support for the Hulk in his current uniform and the Hulk was pure madness. I have of course a Mighty CTP of Reneration on Hulk and his HP was so crazy high it was funny to watch him be almost unkillable in WB.
You can also do that with Beast or American Chavez. I also find that Wen-Wu is a better lead than Gorr if you're trying to make Hulk a tank.

They were thinking of scrumming more money off the money they were scrumming off Doom which they were scrumming off the F4 event which they were scrumming off Multiverse Sage. That's what.
On "protesting" and "whale trainers". That would be the workers assigned to checking the uberwhales comforts that you pointed out. It won't matter because it doesn't. They have yet to fix issues, and that does mean bugs too, since I originally was playing way back during Far From Home.
What happens is an issue is brought up and some time passes (because they are working other orders in fact) and you see an announcement like this: "We have listened to players concerns about X and have done Y. Thank you for playing and we love you all more than our own grandchildren."
That's a typical sales and customer service thing but Y is NOT actually the fix for the issue. It is just some other sort of related incentive deal. So like "We have listened to our customers concerns about the product and are now offering a buy one get one at 25% off deal on a product of equal value" You just saw them do it with Multiverse Saga.
"Hey a Crystal alternative for F2P players! How pleasing. See, they care about you all guys!" except like much else it's actually an amount of Crystals that would take a F2P better than a year without purchasing anything at all to collect and rather just something whales also buy with cash money. So it's spend money or? Spend money. And no fix in site. And here is a refund except it is just a small portion of the already spent Crystal say back....except it isn't because that was being spent in some other place already.
I see mathematician come up in your videos. I am one but we use a calculator and anyone can whether it's this game or trying to budget while grocery shopping. This isn't calculating interstellar travel or something here. Add up the numbers they say and see if they do add up. It's that simple.
Anyway I am saying do not look for it. It isn't coming. My assumption is Doom and the rest of the F4 shy Franklin who costs a lot of money have been hobbled because they intend to do another release for the live action movie. So they are double billing you all in the long run here.
The other part is whale trainers do not determine the course of sales anymore than the devs do. They only offer incentives to said uberwhales and see above they only equal a way to take more of their money than they are already. And I can easily assume some of the uberwhales you mentioned are people's kids whose parents are buying them this stuff. It isn't this scenario where they try and make them comfortable (more of their money just as an actual whale trainer is essentially getting the whale to eat more) and thus all the other players get something for free out of it. See how that wouldn't make sense?
No it doesn't make sense that they would give everyone something to appease to a few big spenders. Sure they will make changes based on things and they have. That was Multiverse Saga and these other Modes/Collections. Aka yep, ways to charge you and specifically the whales more money. That was the answer they gave to your previous boycotts.
But there is a corporate side here. Multiple at least. There is Netmarble (Korea). There is Disney who licensing this product. There are investors on all sides of this as there are stock holders. And more and they all have ultimate say and everyone down the ladder takes walking orders from them until we reach the Devs who are just doing what they are told as anyone who works for a job does. Devs job is to make the things are told to the same as any baker is told to make certain things and how much to charge for them.
So it's a be happy with what you got and otherwise vote with your dollar and do not spend money, or Crystals or time on things you know are just busted crap. The more everyone does the less they will try and make more of it. Because all the people in charge see are margins. It's like all the people on Twitter complaining about the syndicated media right now. Complaining because they are addicted to it and buying and watching it though. And the investors do not care if their customer likes how the product tastes just so long as they are buying and eating it.
And actually boycott means "not consuming the product in question". The internet in this era seems to have confused to mean "whine about the product while still paying for it", And we are all still playing it here despite any inconveniences we may feel, right? And they can see that we are and that means they have no reason to change anything. I mean at the end of the day it is a product, not a public service. Same as the aforementioned syndicated media is. Their primary obligation is to their shareholders alone.
Imo otherwise whoever is in charge of sales and marketing for MFF is really good what they do. Unfortunately it is not fitting for a streaming franchise based video game. Rather they appear to have Amway or McDonald's type ideals which do not work here. Well actually they never worked for McDonald's either and I am not sure why anyone still follows that model at in 2024. I would want to think they would at least try and follow the Disney sales model considering they are selling a Disney product. But anyway they are basically trying to run this exactly like a flea market which is frankly weird. Otherwise cashing out clearly where they already can. I figure they try and run to the 10th Anniversary and we will see the year after. I did not notice they cancelled OS support right as the Android market expanded to OS. That means downsizing and is not a good sign in the long run.
Finally a hard to farm character and an expensive to build character like Doom are bad. They’ve been only putting the effort into those expensive to build or to acquire characters.
Well...we know they do love HORRIBLE odds.

I agree with Alex on his sarcasm tho... I think s lot of these characters we call trash have uses that are being overlooked severely. Yeah, i think victorious needed a pierce buff, immortality and an ignore skill, but apart from that... We've gotten so cookie cutter with how we think characters should be that we're not seeing the point in these builds. If i ask for trash CTP recommendations, you'll say Transcendence as if it doesn't reduce reflect, give a pierce buff, all attack (reflect is based on attack; not hp), invincibility and ignore dodge... Y'all still look at it like a summons CTP even tho summons aren't s factor in the game like that anymore. Hell, I was thanked in the comment section for mentioning that i use Molecule Man and Chavez for 100% reflect negation
As is the MFF cycle, get hyped by cool uniforms in sneak peeks, then get more hyped by cool skill animations and then be disappointed because the characters are useless (making the 1st 2 things useless). Can’t wait to start it all over again with the upcoming sneak peek /s

Okay, but what were we expecting with Victorious really? We saw the dev notes, she literally had nothing meaningful changed, was it not obvious she was going to be Shadowland fodder? A slight increase to HP with no other effects or i-frame ignore wouldn't make her a viable support for anything besides AC. C'mon people..
Alex, can you talk about her 3rd skill that gives all allies buffs? I am guessing its for other world battle. Can it be any good.
Also, yes the whole F4 update is trash but most of all update this year apart from a few characters have been mediocre at best. I am sitting on 40K cabs due to that.
They should've given Doon his wedding dress as uni. Would've matched the screw up that happened to him.

Here's hoping they don't update Deadpool this way... again. He's had more than enough bad costumes already when he should be one of the better PvP Speed males up there with Spiderman and Quicksilver.
Victorious is a support or lead for doom. She needs her artifact to be a good support.

Anyways the movement animations look pretty cool even if the atk fx look cheap look at that cape lol good job whoever did the character models!😊 You know all the marvel characters are not supposed to be the same strength knull mephisto black swan and thanos gorr should clap most of the characters even in teams. Could it be developers are trying to balance characters based on their actual comic book strength levels?
I think watching their sister NM game die (due to power creep) is playing a big part here. Doom should be running pvp for a lil while at least. Maybe they'll bump some numbers for both these characters .

Doesn't Doom beat surfer with his reflex reduction? I'd say that's good. He could be buffed a little bit, but i don't want Sentry, a native t3, to be replaced this soon in pvp. So i think Doom should have been released before Sentry, and a little better.

So every units from this update is a pass (HT is good but not very useful with the meta game modes)
