Well presented and all the history of Suffolk 😊👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I was born in 1958 in Sudbury….still today…I like to visit the countryside in Suffolk, I live in Switzerland…beautifully country….despite that…I like once every year to visit Suffolk and Norfolk 😄🇬🇧
i was born in Sudbury i moved to Cornwall 20 years ago but still miss Suffork and still an ipswich town fan
Moved to Cornwall from Ipswich 13 years ago now. I too miss Suffolk dearly..
"Ipswich?... Well 'as olus bin there!" Best line in the video 😂
I'd never made the connection with the Aussie and New England accents although I was mistaken for an Aussie when I was in Scotland once.
Great video
I got mistaken for Aussie too!
from The Midlands, when I first moved to suffolk I found it too slow...now I embrace it, stunning coast, countryside and I love ipswich. Great work 🙌 will check out part 2.
It appears we should also be proud of our presenters. Well done lads!
What a lovely film. Well done boys, from a true Suffolk girl, born and bred.

Thoroughly enjoyable. I laughed out loud at the comparison with Essex and Norfolk. Very well done both of you !
Medieval joke. Q: How do you make an Essex girl`s eyes light up? A: Shine a candle in her ear.

Thank you. This was thoroughly enjoyable and made me love suffolk even more. I'm in East Suffolk by the coast in Aldeburgh and Thorpeness.
Fantastic video
Lovely to hear a bit of the old Suffolk accent at the end of this video!
You boys are frickin legends! I live in Suffolk near framlingham, Great stuff, see you in episode 2

The elusive Peter cutts 😂😂😂 fun video guys
I live in Suffolk. If you spit hard with a following, you hit Norfolk. My parents were from Norfolk and I was born there. My big sister lives in Norwich. My late dad used to say that the purpose of Suffolk was to stop Norfolk fraying at the edges!
My 23andMe says I've got ancestors who came from far across the sea in East Anglia, so it was pretty interesting having this introduction to the area's history. Maybe, someday I'll find my distant relatives from the area! lol
Myself and Harrison will happily volunteer ourselves as your relatives. See you at the next family gathering.
Charming video. I have been studying Suffolk since I learned that my ancestors came from Ramsholt and Saxmundham and Rendham. Somehow you have captured just the Suffolk smile that I pictured. Love the interview with the man who knows all about Suffolk. Very similar to the humor in Maine where I live.
Historic Info in an Entertaining style. Very good...Liked it...

As an Aussie the most telling phrase was uttered by Peter Cutts, right at the end when he said, 'right mate' as shook your hand. Sounded pretty familiar to me 👍 mate.
You boys are funny and informative. Well done.
episode 2 out now mate. ruclips.net/video/tK1jTqsB3HE/видео.html
Good work, was interesting to learn some new facts about the county!
Good ole boys, that was both funny and informative well done.
That was an excellent story about Suffolf. The guest you interviewed is someone I would have so many questions, my dad was born in Beccles Suffolk in 1921 he left to sussex before world War 2. Would love to find out about his birth place somehow. Im in America, too far to have a weekend in Suff, thank you.
loved this video!! i live in suffolk and have only ever been to bury, stowmarket and ipswich maybe one or two times. your suffolk is a very different one to mine but its fascinating to see the differences. its such a big county and feel like i dont live in the same places as these!!! im right on the border of south cambridgeshire and north essex so it doesnt feel like suffolk much at all
episode 2 out now mate. ruclips.net/video/tK1jTqsB3HE/видео.html
Had an ancestor born there in 1788 it says. My 3time great grandfather
episode 2 out now mate. ruclips.net/video/tK1jTqsB3HE/видео.html
The old fellas accent is class. It's such a shame that the Suffolk accent is almost dead, all the youth sound posh as f 😔
Apologies for sounding posh mate ha. Think saying lines makes us sound more posh than we are. Glad you liked it
@@cuttsprojects2903 No need to apologise mate, it was a really insightful video which I thoroughly enjoyed. And plus I swap my cockney accent for your accent anyday haha at least you sound educated. I have a few pals in Suffolk that are the same age as me 21-25 and none of them have the suffolk accent. It's such a shame because it's such a unique accent and like you said, it sounds very much australian.
episode 2 out now mate. ruclips.net/video/tK1jTqsB3HE/видео.html
As an Aussie I never really knew where our accent came from and the first hint I got was when watching a documentary on a guy restoring old warbird engines.
He lived in East Anglia(just down the road from you guys?)
At first I thought he might be an expat Aussie but when I googled RUclips for videos on East Anglia it kept throwing up a lot of Suffolk videos.
After watching them I knew there was a connection.
But yours was the first one to actually claim a connection to the Aussie accent.
It is, however, normal Aussie.
Not sure of the origins of Ocker.
Yanks tend to use a Cockney twang when emulating it but that definitely ain’t it!
9s the open air swimming pool still there ,just off thr norwich road ,well it was in 1948 when i was a kid having my hols at my aunt's placein Richmond road
You missed Suffolk was the first place the King of England was crowned, at the chape just outside of Bures / Assington
Episode 2 now out mate ruclips.net/video/tK1jTqsB3HE/видео.html
Never knew this! Where can I find the sources?
great video! whats the name of the building 15 seconds?
Deanery Tower in Hadleigh 👍
My DNA chart has litterly from the timeline of the Vikings to Prussia to England Scottish Germanic and Irish.
After watching this , wilts working all over the country , I now understand why paople ask me what part of Australia I come from ...?
i’ve never been to suffolk, nor will i ever. i live in ohio. i throughly enjoyed this video.

? You purport to document Suffolk.....but you omit Lowestoft, the second largest town in the county? Ignoring its' maritime heritage and industrial history? Er......
Lived in Bury St Edmunds for 3 years a long time ago. I will always love Suffolk - cheers from Alaska
Ipswich been voted 26th worst place to live in country. Norwich 2nd best place to live 🎉
