      Why would that be scary I'm so confused it's just a shower

    • @Blankult
      @Blankult 5 месяцев назад +7

      @@lhzoz7 The image probably shows sketchy wiring, as many people just install it themselves without knowing how to properly manage the wires. Also the way it works can sound scary, the showerhead has a coiled wire that runs through the water, so it heats it up on the spot, so the scary part is that you're exposed to high voltage, even though the worst i've seen was people getting a light tingling.

    On the anesthesia thing, I have Elhers Danlos, specifically Hypermobile EDS. I too motabolise stuff super quickly and am also prone to excess bleeding in surgeries. Every dentist treatment I've had I've been megadosed with numbing injections and it takes a good while for it to fully kick in, and one time I was given medical fentynal and although I remember nothing apparently I cried and screamed the entire time (I have a wacky high pain tolerance so this was pretty odd as it was just my wisdom teeth being removed). I have a nose surgery coming up soon and I'm mildly spooked about the anestesia awareness, but I think it's just a lack of doctors understanding different people react to things in different ways as you said.

    For those who dont know. Like our boi Slormpignton, the reason some people metabolize painkillers so quickly is because there is an enzyme in the liver (CYP450) that breaks it down. Some people have much more active versions of this enzyme so they need higher doses of painkillers in order for them to be effective. This also applies with other cytocrhome enzymes that breakdown other stuff.

    I'm pretty sure that I've experienced anesthesia awareness before, and it really does suck. I should mention that I'm resistant to anesthesia as-is, so it usually takes a bit more of the stuff to fully knock me out and keep me under
    I was put under during 2021 due to a medical concern that I won't get into, and I was placed on ketamine (yes, it can be used as anesthesia). I wasn't fully knocked out and I litterally couldn't move my body; I could still think ofc, and I was freaking the fuck out. Did manage to feel some pain too, which sucked. Guess the anesthesiaologist ended up giving me more or whatever, because I ended up going back under
    So yeah, it sucks. Not fun, would not recommend

    Pruney, or "wrinkly" hands is blood vessels shrinking if you spend too much time in water or dehydrated. If it gets too bad it can cause nasty blisters and even the skin to peel in some pretty nasty ways. Isn't an issue if you're playing in your tub or pool, but if you spend extended amounts of time underwater or dehydrated you can hurt your skin, hands, and feet, permanently. Especially if you happen to cut, scrape, or puncture them while this is happening.

    5:35 they acctualy probably got it from horrible historys. Popular shownin the uk. The show was pretty good at the time for being accurate and funny(winning a comedy award in like 2011 i think ). But they have a few misses. Not sure where they got the source for the pheroh fly trap slave thing. You could try email a producer or a historian that worked for the show but the show ended a couple years ago so not sure if you would get any responce. The show was based ona book series by the same name so mabey the source would be in there.

    • @Slormpington
      @Slormpington  5 месяцев назад +2

      It seems to me that if you have a public place that is labeled as the graffiti building, you will actually get good art because it’s now a contest to see who can make the best art. As opposed to normal graffiti which seems to be a contest of who can draw a penis in the most inconvenient place.

      @@Slormpington that's why I like train yards; some cars are just penises. Others though are the sistine chapel essentially a mosaic of a group of talented artists coming together and like you said trying to one up each other, sometimes there's harmony in the competition and it blends beautifully.

      My experience with anesthesia when I got my own wisdom teeth removed was I thought to myself "I'm just gonna try to relax." That was my last thought I remember having before I woke up, so I came to the conclusion that that thought probably didn't come from me. It was probably the drugs talking. That's the kind of trippy thing about it, that it actually hijacked my internal monologue.

It wore off at the back of my mouth first, which was a bit annoying as that was the part that was operated on, but even so it was a duller pain after the procedure than what I was dealing with going into it. The people that did mine get an A++ from me, and they didn't even get me hooked on opioids. They gave me exactly what I needed. No more, no less.
