    Nice fellow, but hopeless argument.
God’s sovereignty as presented in the Scriptures is not a matter of Him setting a process in motion independent of Himself and then of Him intervening to tweak it here and there. Rather:
    Hebrews 1:2-3
[2] but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. [3] He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power…
    Colossians 1:15-17
[15] He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. [16] For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things were created through him and for him. [17] And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
The action of every subatomic particle is under His control. He made it out of nothing, continues to maintain its existence, and moves it according to His will (usually in consistent patterns that we describe as scientific laws).
This fits well with our understanding of the physics and chemistry and processes that He employed to bring the inanimate universe into existence over vast distances and time. But it ceases to fit as soon as we come to the proposed idea of abiogenesis and all that follows to arrive at a man made in His image together with a woman who shares that image and who is specifically described as being instantaneously formed. The attempt to marry divine sovereignty in creation with the increasingly shaky theory of macroevolution is a deal with the devil that evangelicals will sooner or later deeply regret IMHO. It causes far more to stumble than it serves to bring anyone to Christ.
