I really feel like Nancy and Steve are taking a step back in their individual character development for this petty love triangle to come up again so late in the game. Their brief relationship was so toxic, and Steve was a douchebag back then, while Nancy and Jonathan have something real and meaningful. Only after the relationship with Nancy ending and finally getting rid of his dickhead friends did Steve grow as a person, same with Nancy ending her obsession with the high school bad boy and focusing on more important things.
Jonathan has very legitimate concerns about wanting Nancy to have a good life and not give up on her dreams just to be with him. He wants what's best for her, even if it isn't him. That willingness for self sacrifice is what real love is made of, not just "uwu Steve hot boy"
As someone currently in a long distance relationship myself, I really don't appreciate the lowkey LDR slander this season. Their relationship isn't worth less just because they're apart. NancyXJonathan forever, I rest my case 😂
@@shepherdbrooks7609 I think that Jonathan is the one regressing. He went from being happy and protective of Nancy in s2 to slowly regressing. In S3 they had fights and had clear separations in morals and beliefs. And in this season he's just a low life who fails to care for his brother in the absence of Joyce, he is a stoner who deals with drugs instead of problems and made it clear he wants to distance himself from her, including not going to the college she wants to. Steve is there, he's different from the asshole he was in season 1, but Jonathan ever since will came back, it seems like he's been the opposite, regressing and pulling away from Nancy instead.

So I think either Nancy or Steve will probably die to resolve the love triangle, but Jonathan isn't in danger, and if Nancy dies, no one's happy, but sadly, Steve's injured and was bit and they keep mentioning rabies, and Billy was bitten in the leg before, and was possessed so who knows what happens to Steve, plus if he dies then Nancy and Jonathan will be the only two standing, and Steve would die with closure on Nancy's feelings, as well as giving a final "you were what I wanted" as his last words if he dies, since his story line in this season is not knowing what he wants in his love life, it makes sense that saving Nancy from a monster would show him he does love her. I love Steve but I think that all arrows are pointing at him to be out of the picture
They had something great going on he really made her laugh and she laughed and they had humor and fun together I wish she didn’t die

@@zombiie5695 A quick Google search shows he's 19-20 to start, also the time frame that the show takes place in (1980's) it was quite normal for someone that's 16 to date someone that's 19-20. (Or around their age as well, obviously lol.)
For obvious reasons, nowadays it's frowned upon for that age range to be together. And to be fair a couple days ago when I put this out I assumed Chrissy was a senior (so, 18).
I googled it because I got curious a day after..I assume it was a day bc this says it was two days ago I commented (and being completely honest I forgot this comment of mine existed). Also, if I'm correct her boyfriend Jason's age and year he's in is unknown. So for all I know, (I've googled it and can't find anything about his age or year) he could be a S'more, Junior, or a Senior. (Those are the years that you're usually 16-19.)
Either way that's genuinely how I felt at the time watching this, probably due to their chemistry on screen. /nm /gen

@@rustedoak5953 I understand that but when I googled it it says she's 16 and he's 20-21 and I'm Australian so we dont have senior or anything like that but I'm pretty sure you can't be 3 different ages in one year (down here we have year 7 to 12 and for example if I was in year 11 my age would be 16-17 and in year 7 it would be 12-13 I don't know where you got your sources from unless someone or the duffle brothers have CHANGED it which would be strange, unless when I search and see that it's changed i still don't condone it, and I should also add another thing which is that Eddie said he's been held back twice or three times (I can't remember exactly) but it was definitely more then one and that's why he said "I'm gonna flip mr so and so the bird, grab that diploma and walk like hell out of there!! " and also said that 1968 is he's year (to finally graduate)
edit: I wanted to add that the thing with Jason's age (Chrissys bf) sorry I just thought of it, he has to be younger then 18 as when he was caught with alcohol one of the Cops said "I can bust you for underage drinking"

10th- 15-17 (due to how late/early your bday is for all of these)
11th- 16-18
12th- 17-20
And I wasn't at all meaning to offend or even try and have you condone the possibility of them being together. I was simply trying to share that in the 1980s it was normal for people around 16-20yrs to date one another.
After finding out the age difference, I myself am not okay with the idea of them being together romantically.
Though I'm deciding on wether or not to delete my comment because that's 1) How I felt at that time, before seeing the facts 2) Underneath was you tryna be like "hey, in case you didn't know" sorta thing. Which could be useful information for those who don't know the age difference when they watch this and or if they ship them.
