Glad to see you my friend! I hope that everything will be fine, you will go through all the problems together and life will get better! I am 100% sure that everything will be fine. I think my words have weight, because having lived almost 3 years in the war, I still have not lost a drop of hope for a bright future. Hugs to you and your family my friend!
@@PKTCrafts do not waste your time on me my friend. My problem is my problem. Only one what you can do - it be healthy and take care about your family. Cheers my friend!
Watching that crack form as the resin cured was brutal, I felt so bad for you considering how great it was looking, Then you saved it anyway! Moomins terrified me as a kid but this is a fantastic piece and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it come together.
Yeah, I felt my heart sink when it happend for sure. I had already spent so long on it, I couldn’t judt give the project up, though I felt like it at the time. Thank you very much!
I visited Moomin Vally as a kid. (Every time I read a new Moomin book). It's good to see an old childhood place again. And Moomin and Snuffkin. Even though I looked at the beach house a million times, I never once considered what was under the water. I always wondered what sort of construction could make a round building and a cone roof. Finally!
@@gameyybuilds thanks man! I didn’t feel like I could postpone this video any further, which would have been the case if I had narrated it as well. That and the fact that me not talking usually makes a better video (when it comes to views etc.) 😅
This is beautiful! 😍 turning it into a wintery scene is actually very appropriate because the bathing-house tableau that Tove Jansson's partner Tuulikki Pietilä and their friend Pentti Eistola made depicts a scene from Moominland Midwinter ❄
Nice build! Resin is an awefull-to-work-with-material and was in my opinion not necessary for this build. An intransparent sea like in the original would have been sufficient. But to save it by making it into a winter scene was a great idea!
@@Mummidalen thank you very much! I will make more Moomin related videos in the future for sure, but this one took so long to make, so I will probably pivot to other themes for a while 🙂
Nice work. I've been scale modeling for a few years now and every so often I get the itch to scratchbash something...anything. I hate that the vast majority of model kits are war-centric. I have a drawer full of unbuilt bombs, missiles, machine guns still on their sprue. I love building ww2 planes for their aesthetics (and growl in actual flight at airshows), but my tolerance for olive drab and brown earth camo schemes has fallen off the edge of the world. Along with my early life fascination with their destructive force. Every May a small model show rolls into town. They added a scratchbuilt/kitbash contest to the show this year and I have a drawer full of 1/48 scale munitions 😮 I'm drawing inspiration here to look past the ordnance and actually make an artful model.
I’m very happy to hear this! Please let me know what you end up making with all your bits. PS: you should check out www.crafting-for-hope.com. I’m hosting the challenge and would love as many participants as possible.
I WOULD USE YOUR WAY TO MAKE A DIORAMA, THE SAME WATER AND PORT BUT I WOULD PUT A MODEL SOVIET PATROL BOAT ON IT. ITS SCALE IS 1/35 AND IT WOULD BE A STORY IN WW2

Aspects of the Moomins scared me aswell, but most of it I found cozy
I thought that the spray was to make it crack. I thought it was on purpose! Wow, you did a great job rescuing it. 😮
Oh, it's wonderful! All the texture, details, colors-the worn painted wood, the water, everything!

Ill always appreciate painting flocking and natural elements. It just gives the whole piece a more cohesive look.
Amazing rescue job on the pour.
Yeah, I agree. I haven’t done it for too long, but I rarely use flocking unpainted these days. Thank you, the resin was a struggle!
Such precision in your crafting! This project is well worth all of the effort you put into it. Utterly fantastic video and project.

What did happen with the resine ????
@@jeanpierreragequit1726 I think it over heated and started curing too fast. Maybe a reaction to something in the paint or glue 🤷♂️
