    Good job for emphasizing HIP MEASUREMENT when using non-stretch fabric. I've read far too many sad comments from those who were not able to get a cotton skirt over their hips after following instructions for a skirt using stretch fabric & waist measurement ...
    Excellent tutorial!

    That is a darling skirt Whitney!! great sewing and repurposing. I saw a lady in school who made a beautiful dress from 2 tablecloths. I would have never known. fabric is fabric, no matter what it was before!

    You are awesome. This tutorial was great, very clear. I just made my own circle skirt from a tablecloth and I added pockets. In my video I recommended that viewers check out your channel because I've never been disappointed with the tutorials of yours that I've checked out.

    This is genius! I actually have a tablecloth I hated as a cloth but saved as a just because piece. A skirt? Why didn’t I think of that? Love you! Mwah!

    I found a tablecloth online I want to try this with. I'm 5'11. I don't know how big of a tablecloth I need. Do you have any idea what it would take for a midi skirt?

    How much fabric do you think would I need to do this?

    • @Whitney_Sews
      @Whitney_Sews 5 лет назад +1

      I'm not sure. Really depends on your measurments, the length thw skirt will be and the width of the fabric you'll be using. You can probably find a yardage calculator online that will help.

    By hip measurement do you mean like the bony part or should I measure my bum cuz it's bigger than my hips

    • @Whitney_Sews
      @Whitney_Sews 5 лет назад +1

      Around the fullest part of your hip/bum area is the measurement to use.

      Just do a little bit of gathering or small pleats around the top edge to bring it down to the right size. If you're worried about them looking funny make the gathers or pleats in the back.
