5:18 I love the look on the pianist's face when he hears that one piano note because it's the exact same expression I had when first listening to this track. The sheer volume of influences across multiple music genres is staggering, and it really goes to show the incredible talent Vessel has when writing, performing, and singing. Really hope to see them live again this year, because they put on a helluva show in Maryland last year. :)

MOST DEFINITELY Ascensionism!! It is the song that made me fall in love with them and I haven't looked back!😊 If you like a song with a lot of genres in it then this is the one to listen to IMO!
Second vote for Ascensionism! I find it has slightly smoother transitions than Take Me Back to Eden, but they’re both great!

Ascensionism and The Summoning are both amazing examples of Vessel's vocal prowess, and especially in Summoning's case, how varied the songwriting can be
The transition from aqua regia to VORE please, it's one of the most interesting plottwists of this lp 🙏 loved Judsons intro
That's what I do to people when I introduce them to ST. I play Aqua Regia, then Vore...musical whiplash. Then feed them the summoning and its a new fan for life.
It hits me right in the gut every time. Absolutely love it. I adore when bands actually make a point out of which songs come when. Makes the album make sense. It’s such an adrenaline and domaine hit when Aqua Regia transitions into Vore

The first time I saw a video from you reacting to Sleep Token, I was thinking"damn he needs to react to Aqua Regia, I'm pretty he gonna like it" well I was right,this is one of my fav songs from them,the jazzy vibes,the progression,the lyrics and even that sound effects of the people in a dinner or something like that at the background,man such a vibe
I've very much enjoyed the videos on this channel. I love Sleep Token, but I'm a dummy. Listening to somebody as intelligent as Judsen also enjoying them just feels good in the soul.

I never thought about the idea of him using a synth for the bass but it makes sense. He’s using some chord progressions that sound interesting and difficult to recreate on a bass instrument

I knew I loved Judson. I didn't need this to be confirmed, but this video did it anyway.
The whole album of Eden you could do and we would ALL be happy but god damn some of their other albums are just as magical... for different reasons. You need to do JAWS or SUGAR for sure! Ascensionism and take me back to eden title track are big hitters... id say weave some of their other songs in then slam out one of them when you are wanting to go BIG!
Accession is or Take Me Back To Eden from Sleep Token would be good choices next. That entire album is a masterpiece

If there was any album that you should listen to or even react to, in full, its Take Me Back To Eden. The album is sooo good and there are so many little things about it that are amazing.
Like how in the title track there's a line that calls back to the opening track, Chokehold. Or how the album throws you around going from heavy to groovy to sad constantly.
Listening to the album in full also allows for some of the 'weaker' songs to shine like DYWTYLM or Are You Really Okay? (for some reason people don't like these songs as much).
Once you listen to the full album trilogy, you start to notice even more cool things like the closing track, Euclid, calls back to the opening song from their debut record, The Night Does Not Belong To God.
I would love to see an album reaction, but if that never comes to fruition then you should at least listen to this album in full one day. Absolute Masterpiece.
Euclid actually calls back to a lot of songs, "I'm thick tar on the inside burning" is a call back to a song on This Place will Become Your Tomb, there's a bunch of others too. Ascensionism and Euclid also have a call back to the band that will identify Vessel :) and there's even a call back to Graves in The Night Does Not Belong to God/Euclid.
It would seem that Judson likes progression and dynamics in the same song? Time to revisit Dream Theater?
He needs to hear "Home" :)
