4:55 "You retracted it." I wonder how long it will take Keith to realize it's him trying to step on platforms what causes them to sink. Bird needs to communicate what the puzzle does on his end more, I guess.
6:10 Bird figures out what triggers the platforms dropping in a couple seconds. Not bird-brained.
18:00 Keith is trapped in a groundbird day.
19:00 "I was on tristar and it went away." That's not exactly what happened. And I think it's easier to figure out from the outside because you can see things happen rather than just hear them, but yep. This puzzle turned you both into broken telephones.

And here the true frustration of this series is revealed. Being able to see both perspectives at once allows one to understand what the mechanics of the puzzle actually are, and what is just the netcode being janky.

Net code was fine compared to others..

No no, you don't need both to see what is going on. You only need to see the Sliding Puzzle bit to understand. I don't want to insult Keith, or make it seem like I am calling him stupid, but i just needed the connection to light up as soon as Bird stepped on the symbol and said he was stepping on it, it instantly figure out how to solve this problem and knew how it worked and what to do. You probably needed both, Keith and Bird seemed to not get it at first either, and if I was playing it first and not just watching it probably would take me longer too, but it's a VERY basic puzzle. Especially compared to the other 2 games where you had to describe something and there were like 5 versions of the same thing with very minor details.
This puzzle is only 'Frustrating' cause the two didn't have it click in their heads at first what the idea of this puzzle was. To them, it probably looked like greek letters that couldn't understand. I get that way with Coding lol, I can never code, cause I look at Code and even if explained in detailed, it just looks like another language I can't even comprehend lol

@@Jirodyne, what was frustrating was seeing the game forget to show the bridge player's position to the tile player, and seeing the bridge locks disengage even though the tiles hadn’t been touched. Seeing both perspectives makes it clear what is the intended, and unintended, cuase and effect of the player's actions. With only one, the player is left to assume that whatever was not caused by their actions, was caused by the other player's. Which in this instance, was not always true.

@@t.s.teller8530 True, if you HAD to use visual cues. But you don't. Whatever the person moving on the puzzle sees, doesn't matter. Whoever is in the puzzle room, Bird at the end, is the only one needing to do anything. Basically telling Keith, or whoever is walking to "Move Here, say X when there." Then the other person just moves and says X. No other Communication required. Move, X, Move X, Move X, and repeat till puzzle solved. It doesn't matter if you see the lines, it doesn't matter if the locks are visually updated or not.
The problems, come in with the people that can't break down things that simple. Such as when Keith suddenly understood the puzzle, figured out what to do. Only when the game he did something and Bird didn't notice a change, Keith Broke, decided he was wrong, and all the evidence and solution he did before must be wrong and fucked the entire thing and so Bird had to come on and do it instead.
If you can see the Trick/Pattern in a puzzle, you don't need to understand anything else but that trick and pattern till you fit the solution. It's sadly a... Weakness, I would say, with Keith. Where he can solve a problem with a pattern, but when a later puzzle comes up with that same pattern in it, he doesn't reconize it and has to relearn it. Happens a lot in his other games. But he gets so focused on some specific parts, he forgets the puzzle and pattern as a whole. Kept looking for bird to give Conformation that something was changing before bird moved, when in the end it doesn't matter and wouldn't notice it till he did move.
This puzzle was a lot more basic and 1 sided, compared to the first puzzle, where they had to communicate to get into the same elevator to progress in the puzzle. And whatever shows up in the next one, looks like it will be the same as the first, requiring the two to communicate and work together.
Like I've said before, not dissing Keith or Bird, just using them as examples of different thought processes people had. Keith fell apart quickly, even when he got the puzzle and the trick. But Bird didn't fell apart, told Keith exactly where to go and stand and when, and guided him through the puzzle with only issue with the sliding part of it to get the icons in order. Everyone has strength and weakness, even if a puzzle is hard or easy.

@@t.s.teller8530 Well, Keith is jumping around and walking on the rails. I wonder if the standing on the tiles is what makes the symbol path light up on the other screen.

I want to say I figured out the mechanics within the first minute of it being shown ... but I had the advantage of seeing both perspectives. Also, it seems there were glitches that didn't make the tiles lock/unlock as expected when the sliding pieces were moved around

  • @MisuVir
    @MisuVir 5 лет назад +5

Wow, that was made harder than it should have been thanks to random glitches. It's really easy to work out that glowing lines == locked connections if it actually visually appeared that way. Then the glitch where you dropped a platform without resetting the puzzle and then made the incorrect assumption that moving the tiles around would drop/raise platforms.

You probably noticed this too while editing but it really looks like the symbol-bridge puzzle was just completely broken and de-synced for a bit.

The next platform raises when you step on the last one. The symbols on the other guy locks the platforms in place indicated by the lights connecting the symbols and the locks on the side of the platforms. They made an incorrect assumption that the other guy was raising/retracting a platform when all he does is lock it in place. This is what happens when you don't relay information and try to solve things on your own in a CO-OP game.
