I just discovered this tonight on a recommendation from a friend. Amazing and awesome interpretation. I LOVE this, and I am as big a Lou Reed/VU fan as you will find going back to the Warhol years. This treads respectfully on hallowed ground and I thank you for sharing it.
does anybody know the name of Alahondros some some go east some go west where everybody has blue eyes and blonde hair some rich some poor? Thanks Laura Moore
It's the best version of Pale Blue Eyes ... For ever
Wish I was there as well. Priceless and lovely. What harmonies! Wow!
This just proves that music is the only truly universal language...and true musicians can wring beauty from unrehearsed inspiration.
Saw Alejandro do this in Cleveland around 15 years ago. Stunning!
beatiful, perfectly beatiful...
Just found this. I think it's great. How could you not like it?
He can pull off so many variations on a song. Amazing.
no shit, eh? Not only is Al my favorite songwriter...but he's about the best interpreter of others' work since Johnny Cash.

Alejadro is a great guy.

beautiful!
Hang the solo naysayer! This is beautifully done. Missing you from Calgary Al.
It was fun what we did yesterday....
I'd do it once again...
Pure beauty... Don't know about "unrehearsed"...lol But hell this is pure Alejandro. Which is pure perfection.
Never mind the poor video quality; the simplicity, beauty and intimacy of the song and its words are grat. Aid that Susan Voelz on violin?
cool - anyone got any True Believers video from back in the 80s?
Ah,the violin!!!
Remember the rodeo from those infield seats?
