I love how this one feels like a New Year's Day hangover expressed in a game of MTG, because not only are there a few key rules misses in the game itself, but some of the in-edit corrections after the fact are also incorrect, so it's just beautifully chaotic all the way around. This actually makes it so fun to watch, because sometimes you're all so in the moment with whatever cool thing your friend's deck is doing that you don't notice the small details, and that too is a beautiful thing.

I don't know that it would have mattered given the amount of copies that were made but Aaron shouldn't have been able to target Jim right? Cause he had the Metamorph Ring enter that turn so he should have had protection. Great game all around though, love seeing Krark get there.
You are correct! that being said, many krark saka lists can beat ring protection by using "you find some prisoners" to exile your non-protected opponents decks and steal their win cons!

Weirdly, popping Bloodfire Dwarf the second it hit the field would've killed 3 of the opponents' mana creatures and massively slowed the game for everyone not named Aaaron.

Yes it would be sacrificed to the legend rule and another rule validation was during coping storm spell. Copy wasn't cast from hand and bc of that it shouldn't trigger a storm.

Grapeshot and Brain Freeze don't work, since they target. Neither does combat, since attacking creatures wouldn't deal any damage to him. There's nothing in Aaron's deck that suggests a wincon WITHOUT Storm, or, to a lesser extent, combat. What's the line, exactly?
There's an Editor's panel at 23:48 that shows he also runs Thassa's Oracle. He's in red so it's a safe assumption that he has Underworld Breach in there. He could just draw until he has both Breach and Brain Freeze to Breach and then Brain Freeze himself and win off Thoracle. Lion's Eye Diamond gives him the 3 blue he needs to pull it off. Alternatively, he can just draw his entire deck and forgo the Brain Freeze.

1. You're going to have to clarify what moment you mean. If you mean with the Metamorph, because nothing stops it (the legendary rule applies per player, so each player can have a copy of a legendary permanent in play). If you mean with the God Pharoah's Statue and the Garden, it wouldn't have worked had the ability resolved, since the legendary rule would make him get rid of one of them. 2. You mean the Mox Diamond at 14:10? He tapped Ancient Tomb to cast it to pay for the Statue tax.
Remember that this is why Nadu was banned. 23:15. And they shortcutted all the coin flips. As far as I know, they didn't flip any coins. I'm not against Krark in the format. I'm for Nadu though. This is the best episode of the year so far but also the worst episode of the year

Metamorph wouldnt grant prorection from the ring? Dont you have to cast the one ring? It ETBs as a ring so different?
if you cast metamorph from your hand it will give protection, it enters as the one ring and then see's that the spell was cast from your hand.
