The new Picanto is honestly a disappointment. The exterior looks like ass, and the interior got worse between generation, too. The digital instrument cluster is horrible, the analog gauges were beautiful and much easier to read. The steering wheel is still a complicated mess. The glorified radio screen is now sticking out of the dash like a sore thumb in a Tesla-like fashion. The 1.2 4-banger is a very smooth, very quiet engine and I was itching to get to drive one, until I did. Granted, it was in a slightly heavier Stonic, but the engine was okay up to about 90 kph, then its power went out of window and became pretty toothless. Tried to speed up from 90 to 120, took a very long time on the 3rd, 4th gear. It was so slow it made me wonder if the rev happy 3-banger would be faster. I know the VW's MPI is pretty capable.

what if they put a turbo make it 120 hp and a 6 speed DCT or a diesel variant 1.4crdi will fit just fine
Id prefer a 1.2 three cylinder for more character. Im not a fan of small four cylinder engines, they can sound a bit boomy

Yes, they suck big time. I hate digital speedometers. The previous analog ones were perfect.
You can change electronic display in settings to standard dial speedometer and tachometer.
