    this must be south america i guess but not so sure. the fish are very comfortable with the divers bubbles, and one thing im curious about is how come there are this much fish do you scatter feed or is it a conservational status zone. ı can't understand how come there is so much fish and they have no idea what destruction is?

      He fishes in the Gulf of Mexico off the western coast of Florida . When you go over 100 miles off-shore seldom are there fish around who have been bothered by divers before . As long as you do not move real quickly most fish do not sense danger around so as to make them spook and leave the area .

    How deep do you go?
    How big is your tank?
    How long does it last normally?

    • @danmacmahon3973
      @danmacmahon3973 4 года назад +1

      Depends on the time of year. Shallower in the winter when the bigger fish are closer in. Deeper in the summer when they move farther out. The main tank is a HP 120CF . Figuring out how long it last is dependent on depth, exertion, water temp, and a host of other factors. Thanks for watching.

    Still building our own guns looking at trigger setups who’s do you like more and why if you don’t mind

      I like the Neptonics reverse trigger design. Have put many many years of very hard use on it and it still works perfectly. I did have to replace a tension spring (easy to do) on it a few years ago. I'm sure there are other great triggers out there but this is the one I'm familiar with. Best, Dan

    On your computer it showed 6 when at depth hunting. I am jelly of your stringer!!! 150'-160' deep?

      W777, that spot was about 130 feet deep. Was unusual to have 3 separate "coves" in that depth of water. Thanks for watching. Best, Dan

      TOD, ha ha, well that's def true....! That wrecks in the 105'-110' range. Been a great spot over the years, ran over it by accident 40 years ago. Was poking along and saw a few Big AJ's swim up to the boat and knew we were close to something good. Found the wreck and have been diving it ever since. Still one of my favorite Shallow spots! Love watching your stuff. Know it takes time to put together. Need an interpreter for your verbalizations. I can relate to the buyers remorse of an imperfect shot. I sound more like Yosemite Sam when I do it. Noticed Zip ties on your bands. Is that a primary or secondary security?

      Thanks OT. Yeah, an early morning dive preceded by a large cup of coffee def brings out the chatter in me! I've been using zip's for a few years now and wouldn't ever go back. Check out on board bandit.com for more info. Best, Dan

      @@danmacmahon3973 hey Dan - that link got a 404 error. Anything special about using zips instead of whipping twine?

      RB, I just got tired of tying bands for the crew and myself. With the heavy zip ties and a $10 ebay zip tie gun, it's easy to do. They last longer than the rubber, and are simple to get to the correct diameter. No worries about pulling the cord too tight and damaging the rubber or not pulling it tight enough and having one pop. They're so quick to make that I don't have to make extra bands ahead of time, etc. The trick is making sure the zip ties have the stainless tab built into them. Been using them for several years now and would never ever go back. Some may not like the look but I'm more of a function above appearance guy myself. Best, Dan

      TOD, we do use them when the situation calls for it. I did on that spot because the previous few spots were "Shark-Intensive" and I was trying to avoid another battle. They are def another quality tool to have in your tool box! Best, Dan
