You will easily go through the day browsing the web/watching videos however when playing graphic intensive games like Half Life 2 you'll get around 4 hours from full charge. So it's not the best, but not bad at all.

I have it and while I wish the battery life was higher, I can confidentally say that it is the best Sub 10inch tablet Out there. Was THIS close to getting the Galaxy Tab S but I know now that it only Seems really good, while the Shield tab IS good.
It's just ok. Definitely seems less than the Tab S competition. It's similar too my old galaxy S3, Probly better than any iphone, but not as good as any of the top android phones out today. With heavy use but NO games it would last about most of the day, possibly throughout.

Hi, I'm looking into buying an nvidia tablet, I'm torn between this one, and the tegra note 7. I'm not planning on streaming games or anything like that, Just planning on using it for web browsing,, watching videos and some android games (stuff that I would do during a break or for trips). RUclipsguy buying a tablet for looks is pretty stupid, not to mention that apple likes to drop support as soon as possible. my moms ipad mini runs off ipad 2 hardware which lost support by some developers. hell apple refused to put siri on iphone 4 saying it couldn't handle it even though the app worked fine before it became apples. someone even got siri on their iphone 4 and it worked great. this tablet cost as much as a ipad mini but is spec'd waaaay higher and has a much better built quality. ipads just look good and thats it. its pretty much an over sized ipod touch, and the shield tablet runs of stock android so it will be supported for a while without third party companies holding it back to put their own skin on it. this argument was a loss for you buddy, enjoy your ishit.

You will go out and spend hundreds on a tablet and phone ,only for them to be out dated within a couple of years. Apple make nice stuff for sure, but having said that so do the other brands and Nvidia is one of them. I personally will get a Shield to replace my IPad mini retina, the bang for buck is terrific and solid, I this device will have far more ability. I watched the iphone and Apple watch announcement yesterday and I must say that I was cringing at all the sycophants cheering in the audience . Knowing Kepler, it can be incredibly efficient if not running at full power, So why push it when there is no need.

+Galih Pratama his computer is doing most of the processing and streaming it over his network to the tablet where he is actually playing the game. i did it with my Nvidia Shield Console and it is pretty responsive. You can also stream games from their Nvidia Grid servers where there servers are doing the work and you stream the game over the internet instead of one of your own PCs on your own network.
I tyhink its a 10 out of 10 this is the future consoles are are not really mobil this is it is going to get direct updates from Nvidia I own it and it wipes the floor to other tablets on the market , This is the future Sony and Xbox watch out

Everybody get's it wrong. It doesn't have a k1 for a CPU. It uses an ARM A15 for a processor and the k1 for a dedicated gpu

I think the nvidea shield tablet is the second tablet to use the Tegra k1 not the first. The first tablet to use the Tegra k1 is the xiaomi mipad.
That one has major throttling problems though :(

123x234 that has to do with Game Loft doing a shit job with optimising the game. The Moto X SoC is more powerful than the Note 2 SoC.

RAM doesn't make a device more powerful. Faster, maybe. But power is based on the C/GPU.
