for me, the fact that smarthphones have more or less 28mm lenses is a huge issue NOT to select that focal length. i hate wide angles and i hate smartphones as well. i like bokeh, introvert, cinematic, directed, previsualized type of pics. i like the discipline and the moody cinematic and geometrical aspect of the 50mm focal length , which is my best .
I was at the Sky Garden last week and was able to produce some amazing almost street level crops with my Q3 as well as the usual views. The 28mm/60mp is such a versatile combination.
Agree with your views on the 28mm. When deciding on the Q3, I went through my photo archive and found I am a wide shooter. The 28mm on a 60mp sensor is superb. The option to crop into a photo and still have quality really makes the Q3 a true ravel camera. One lens, with so much flexibility.
@@SnapsBySamosh In that case I'm gonna say it was surprisingly good. 'AI enhanced', 'computational' or not - doesn't really matter, the result is great: sharp, detailed and looks real. At least on my display.
this is exactly why i don't use 28mm anymore, it just looks like every other cellphone-picture out there, it has cheapened the look considerably. And: 24 and 28mm are worlds apart, even more so than 35 and 28.
@@SnapsBySamosh But, but you were a kid once, right? 🙂 Also he said 'medical doctor', he didn't say 'someone who knows a thing about medicine', that's not always the same 😀
@@mlentsch Leica does have pretty expensive cameras, but to some extent so does Canon, and Sony and others. Also you can get a cheaper Leica camera or an older one. But still one can save up for months or years, one can sell his other gear to get what he wants, what's the problem tho? Some people invest in their hobbies, wtf. Don't tell me it was your first day on RUclips and you never seen hobbyists and small bloggers from EU or US with tons of expensive stuff. I watch guitar bloggers from time to time and while there are some guys with cheap stuff and mad skillz, there are also people with $100K+ gear and nonexistent skill, and not all of them are rich, they just buy stuff for their hobbies for years. Why not? You don't have to be F1 driver to have the right, to be entitled to get a fast car if you want, right? Anyhow, it's always better to discuss the topic rather than person, amiright?

I love 28mm mainly for the DoF and hyperfocal
Leica? Clearly, you're not a pro, so you must be either a medical doctor or some guy's rich kid.
What if I am too old to be a rich kid and don’t know a thing about medicine… what am I now?
