Watching Natalia start out all quiet and confused, then end up engaged and having a good time is great to see. One of the greatest pleasures of playing D&D is watching someone go from "Wtf is this dumb geekfest" to _"OMG Where has this been my entire life"_ :-D

Gaten was a really good player with roleplaying and interacting with everybody, david was also really good since he helped the plot move foward a lot of the time, finn was the necessary chaotic energy and natalia was the new shy player that opened up at the end and had a lot of fun, overall a really good and entertaining session of DND!

Man would this be such a fun adventure comedy if they ever made this exact campaign into a movie. Like imagine Kenny always collecting Sylvester as Stefan and Sylvester just angrily corrects him constantly. Also, love the fact that Kenny is the quippy character while Sylvester is the "Whatever" character. Their constant personality clashes would be hella entertaining.

But Finn seems like he always has to be at the front of the party even when a scene doesnt concern his character, like when Gaten thought he saw his sister, and Finn just appears out of nowhere to make a joke.
@@bohbro7406 yea, Finn felt pretty overbearing about it but David and Chris did a great job keeping him reined in to the task. It can be hard to play with those types.

i know everyone here are all stranger things fans, but just saying, Chris did amazing in this. such a great job at interacting with everyone and leading them through dnd and how to play. while also allowing each of them their individual moments for their players to shine. once again, Chris Perkins impresses me as a dm and as a person.

i'm so late to this but i've never seen or played D&D but so far this video makes me want to play it so bad. It seems like such a good thing to get into to get better at just creating relationships in general and plus it seems like a blast. If anyone has any tips for getting into it please tell me cause i've been wanting to get into it recently.
If you’re lucky enough find someone you know who plays that comes up with their own campaign. The D&D that you can buy that sorts to one story is so lame compared to someone who spends time writing a story for everyone to play especially because if they’re good they can twist the story instantly depending on what you want to do. I’d recommend telling friends about it or that you have interest and let it all fall into place

I cannot believe it was so controversial that kids played this years ago when it seems like a great alternative to video games. its also great to see how positive it can be for kids and even teens, especially today!
@@alexandriamahoneyy24687 completely agreed I also find it weird how people claim it’s a nerdy activity, I obviously can see how the role playing part can be “nerdy” but like you said it’s as if you were playing video games or watching a television series/movie!
There are plenty of groups at local game stores and other venues even. Also there are online groups using Roll20 and other online tabletop programs if you don’t have a personal connection to someone who plays tabletop RPGs. I disagree with self created vs published adventures. It depends on the DM and how they adapt a written adventure to their campaign. I am always making adjustments and I try to tie in each player’s back stories into the campaign , even a published adventure, by adding my own twists. I find my players usually don’t want to create extensive back stories but I will work with them and help craft something unique. Then I try to put elements of that into the overall campaign.
@@MrPeanutToes 100% it’s sad that most creative things are considered “nerdy” - seems like we def lost some of that creativity and it really should make a comeback! i hope kids will be inspired by this because (like i said) it seems like a very enriching, interactive game!
