Man, it's sad to hear that what just seemed like some banter between two like-minded folks ended up getting amplified by the toxic masses into a genuinely negative experience between them. I always perceived the dynamic as some friendly competition and a fun back and forth, so it was sad to hear that it's not actually the case.
Looking back, I found PointCrow from a collab he did with SmallAnt, but thinking about my watch patterns since then, I just realized today that I pretty much only watch PCrow now and I haven't watched a SmallAnt vid in months. Its a shame to see a relationship severed like that, but I think you're making the right move after what you've described.

@@Pbeyeler Basically they stopped being friends and playing games together because Small Ant made Crow seem as if he was a cheater and a liar and Crow didn't like that. That among the fact that Ant's fans had been rude to Crow multiple times (and still are) and Ant made no effort to try and make them stop. Basically just a bunch of drama all because Ant's ego is too big to announce the problem and make it stop.
Also people have used Crow to try to get to get Small Ant as well when they were friends.
Eric, I genuinely love your content. I know you probably won't ever see this due to it being on the vod channel, but I found you through SmallAnt. You both are great content creators, although I can understand. Sometimes when I go into certain streams, you can tell that the chat is super toxic because the streamer is being "meme-y" which is something I attribute to SmallAnt. I can't say I tune into his streams anymore, and while I am not able to catch on your streams when they are live due to my work schedule, I do watch every video you put out on the main channel, and the vods that you put out on this channel. You are a FANTASTIC content creator and you genuinely make incredible content. Thank you for brightening these past 2 years since I discovered you.
Man honestly, PointCrow's talk about what happened between him and SmallAnt makes me terrified of when the BOTW multiplayer mod releases. Because if SmallAnt plays that, people are gonna start crediting that to him like they did with the Pokémon Emerald map randomizer. Seriously I love SmallAnt's videos, but I really don't like his community.
honestly, kinda same. while the community can be fine normally, and sometimes even sweet, theres alot of people who dont understand boundaries when it comes to this shit. like both crow and ant should be able to enjoy similar content without being compared! it should be "both ant and crow are cool! they make similar content, so youll probably enjoy them both!" and not insults to both, especially crow.

There's an easier place to get Royal Broadswords if you want in the future. To the west of Rito Village is a skull encampment of Lizalfos at the edge of the world. Three of them carry Royal Broadswords. it's a good place to go get them, and their archers carry a mix of arrows if I recall correctly.

I’ve been watching you for a long time and when I found out you were doing a collab with ant, I was really excited to see my two favourite creators making content together. But I’m glad that you’ve still made your own separate identity for yourself and unlike, what happens with other creators sadly, you were able to still fight for yourself to move out of this shadow. I absolutely love all your botw and Pokémon content and I cannot wait for what’s next 🙌

I'm months late to this but as someone who has dealt with those types of comparisons before, I get where you're coming from with how much it can effect you. It's only happened a few times but I've been called "Dollar Store Shenpai" before and I would probably snap if it happened continually as it does to you. I hope things are better for you now and I also wanted to thank you for getting me into the BoTW rando as I recently found your videos on it and it got me hyped to try it out myself.

I always got that feeling about your relationship with Smallant. He has fostered a culture of toxicity which you can thrive in if you want to play that game but from the outside it just looks like a zero sum game. One person needs to be on top and everyone else gets their head shoved to the ground. It’s a shame that he didn’t see you as someone that he could rise together with instead of just another piece of content.
Smallant doesn't foster the toxicity... twitch chat and viewers create toxicity. Having a competitive attitude and being sarcastic to your friends is not fostering toxicity, it's the brainless hive mind viewers that amplify that energy into something worse. Happens to some extent for every streamer. Streaming in general has shed light on this unfortunate part of human nature

Reading this after watching the context, I can see your point. Pointcrow deserves to vibe in his place on the internet, he shouldn't have to make up with a content creator or their chat to comfortably create content within his community. He should be recognized for himself, not his past or present connections. It grew into a shitty situation, and this is where we're left.

@@inkii-y nah streamers have a fuckton of power over their chats. If they berate negativity and toxicity enough it will deter toxic people and keep the people on the fence leaning towards positivity. You can see it very clearly in chats like eric's bc he is literally always telling chat to be nice and cool and kind and he turns down every negativity that's thrown his way publicly to set an example. And look at his chat, it is overwhelmingly positive and kind most of the time especially when compared to other chats that just run rampant. Other streamers do it too, hasanabi bans anyone that is remotely gross or toxic and he has gathered a beautifully open minded and kind chat given his size. I mean there are 40k people in there and he still does an amazing job at monitoring them

PointCrow, I know it's 2 years late, but you did not finish the hinox king challenge. While you were walking around and fighting the king, I noticed a lot of bones on the floor, with some stalmoblin heads. On the bone wall, as one of your viewer called it, the bones is a stalnox. What I am saying is that you could not leave because there is another part to the challenge, the stalnox fight. There may be possibly more parts to that challenge!

don´t run away from attacks if you want flurry rushes. just stand in front of them and dodge when they start
when you were fighting the lynel i would have checked if your shield even blocked the attack so that you would know that you can only dodge the attack and parry so that if you miss you can't just use your shield to block the attack instead of parry (Just so that you know for the next time)
