Very nice to see Del Ramos doing justice to his late brother Larry's lead vocal in Never My Love. I've never grown tired of that song ever since first hearing it in 1967 as a 10 year old kid. It is the greatest love song ever written and performed. The Association's 1967 performance of this song on The Ed Sullivan Show is a masterful performance, with Larry looking at cool as ever in his turtleneck and goatee. Sorely missed.

How do they do it? It is 50 years later and they still sound great. Anyone criticizing their singing has no idea about what it means to get older or what it means for the vocal chords to age. This is not a mediocre performance. Considering their age, this is a miracle. They sound fantastic.

So happy to see this, thanks for posting. I've had the pleasure of seeing them a couple of times over the past few years, they even did a free meet and greet after one show, very cool to speak with them and have them sign a photo. Count me among those who are very grateful for their still being around after 50+ years, in any iteration. I should sound so good when I'm their age! They're out there making people happy with this wonderful music. If it's not your thing - so be it, don't hate. Go home and hug your teddy bear.

The Association was one of my two favorite groups in the 60's ( the BYRDS being the other). I'm SO AMAZED that with Jim Yester and Jules Alexander being close to, if not in their 70's the vocal and instrumental quality is still great!! WOW!!! Personally, I never saw very many of these original big 60's groups live back in the day. The bands today are, understandably, a mixture of original and replacement artists. I feel that it is both fun and a privilage to see these bands perform live today - regardless of the mix of original and newer musicians.

2017? Musta been one original member left, although they were a straight up fabrication from the beginning. The music was written and performed by The Wrecking Crew before the vocal line-up was decided. And after the first couple minutes of this, wtf, they couldn't even hire a talented lineup, where is the barf bag. Their stuff, the studio versions, is great in spite of the pedestrian MOR singing and shoulda been left alone, like an Indian burial ground. To stir up those old bones with untalented slugs is predictably onerous. Preparation H works well, too, if you need it, I wouldn't know. ruclips.net/channel/UCDmniabgycBwaN_v2Rj_HtQ

Well, yes the're not exactly like they used to be. I'm not like I used to be either - and neither are you! :) When you see bands or singers that have survived multiple decades of performing live, you can't expect them to perform identicaly to their studio work of many years ago. Band members come and go. Some pass away. Everyone's voice changes. They loose dynamic range. But I have seen The Association multiple times over the years. The still put their heart into it. And I,for one, still love seeing them perform live. To each their own I guess.

You'll be fortunate to be alive at the age they are with all the hate stuffing inside you. Go watch a kiddie video.
