This is my absolute favourite SVT song! The lyrics are so SAD, but I love that. The longing, the unrequited love, the bittersweet emotions. The composition combined with the lyrics and their vocals is utter perfection to me ❤

no wonder why Henggaræ is such a meaningful album for us carats, it was realeased in 2020, in the edge of COVID-19's pandemic and members themselves told us countless times how empty they felt with the online performances, so songs like Together, I Wish and Kidult excel in showing us this feeling while offering their shoulders to cry in those harsh times
what I'm saying may sound obvious but after your analysis I truly understood the message they wanted to portay 💗

THAT'S ALSO MY STRUGLE!! svt have so many title english and korean that have totally different meaning but the use of 'i wish' i guess is proper in this song. Never really dig deep into this song since i love the vibes and sound, now once again, the fact that woozi is genius just slap me in my face.

Oh, I just read your updated comment! Actually, the English title made me decide "the person" as "you." To my knowledge, the majority of Korean people think of "the person" as "the lover of my love"! I guess the titles give us different aspects to appreciate. Anyway, Woozi is a genius ✨

This song is truly heartbreaking for many reasons, and I have cried to this numerous times since released. The lyric has similar meaning with SHINee's 방백 ㅠㅠㅠㅠ Even though I've understood the lyric, but thankyou 가캬님 for giving the insight of dew, because at first I thought Wonwoo's part of next morning refers to the "feeling", not specific to the morning dew. Love your video as usual ♡
You know what? The person (황현 MonoTree) who wrote 방백 participated in this song too 😉 Anyway, the 'dew' can be interpreted in so many different ways, and I think "feeling" sounds valid too!! Thank you for being so supportive 🤍

i've always thought that "좋겠다" suited the theme of the song better than "i wish". there's just a nuance of bitter longing and regret that the english title just doesn't convey, and i think you explained it perfectly. love this types of videos!! 오늘도 영상 잘 봤습니다

I always thought that "joketda" kinda translates to "must be nice" every time I watch their content, cause they often say it.
This song is super sad. I feel like there's a lot of wordplays in Woozi's songs that international fans overlook because we don't understand Hangul.😢I also appreciate you explaining the title because it makes so much more sense, just like what you did with the "All My Love" video. (sigh) Unrequited love, I hope you could do one for Woozi's "What Kind of Future". (I don't know how to type in Hangul.) 😅

I find this interesting because I see 좋겠다 as "I would like that" (wish can be completely wrong but its what I've catch from my korean lessons) so like imagine a saying to the parent "when I grow up I want to be an astronaut and be happy exploring the universe!!" The parent could that "that 좋겠다", like "I would like for that to happen, I wish that happens, I would be happy if that happens" so Its interesting how that slightly modifies to become envy. Because I dont think that "I would like for this to happen (being with you)" necessarily means you envy who gets to do it but they are very close!
It's because it's about an ongoing event, so it's more suitable to translate it as 'I envy you' rather than 'You would like that/wish.' ("You" are already seeing my dream, so there's no reason for "you" to wish for seeing "my" dream.) As I mentioned in the video, 좋겠다 can convey different nuances based on the context. For past or ongoing events, it often implies 'I envy.' For future events or wishes, it can be translated as 'It would be great if/ I wish/I hope.'
