You are such a great teacher, I could never get my head around tabs for songs such as this and long time ago - also by Jim Croce and your lessons have enabled me to play them, you are in effect, the ultimate wingman.
Your an Xlnt teacher, with a Beautiful voice. i was hoping youd play the whole song & sing as well., now i have to listen to myself sing along with jim , Again... lol ❤
First let me say that you are one of the best, if not THE best guitar instructors on you tube. At 4:00, you stated that the open G was "out of tune". Do you have any reason as to why Jim played that note? I'm kinda thinkin that maybe he was feelin mighty good (wink wink) that night and the note was played by accident and they left it in anyway!! You are making a lot of people with acoustic guitars happy--including me!
ultraroadmap Yes. It's a standard guitarist's thing. We tend to move to the new chord a fraction before it's arrival (you often have to or you can't get there fast enough). When you do that but continue the same pick pattern while you're moving, you often catch an open string instead of a fretted one just because your hand is in the process of making the next chord shape. Often it doesn't matter because that note it in the key anyway, but sometimes, like here, you get a note that really doesn't belong to the chord you're moving from or to. But it's gone so quickly it's almost unnoticeable, so we just let it go.
Jerry, you do great work. Thank you, I learned this from you in about 2 days and love to paly it now (but I am used to fingerpicking so it was easy for me). I'll post a cover on RUclips of this one thanks to you. Merry Christmas. By the way, I love your voice - it is so easy to listen to and you do a fantastic job a spelling it out.
I always wondered why he doesn't just go to a E major instead on that last chord. It may just be from years of playing it wrong but it just sounds nicer to me lol
Woow..I succeeded in making you reply..so I decided to Not buy it !!! hahahaha I appreciate your efforts..and loved that you gave alternative choices to play without going to Jail !
My mom loves this song, and she always wanted to hear me play this song on guitar. Thanks to you, I’ll be able to make it happen.
Aw that’s really sweet man! How did she like it? :)

It would. Maybe he didn't know that shape :)
Really great tutorial and playing. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much, very clear!
Always perform at the beginning or at the end to encourage the viewer what he will achieve after he has learnt it
Pro help You know that is how to learn
Can you please post the rest of the song?

Everyone should just play how they feel it. RIP JIm
I m late but thank you!!!
That's dope! Thank you very much
Genius
wow
gordon lightfoots song "beautiful" starts off with the same chord am7
Love ur voicee.. so peaceful
It should be C#m7, Bm7?
Jerry, I believe there's a mistake with the tab. At the 4th fret you have a G natural. Shouldn't it be a G#?
Excellent video. I have this song on my you tube video, " Jerry Ruffino Solo ".
I play it a bit differently.
I always wondered why he doesn't just go to a E major instead on that last chord. It may just be from years of playing it wrong but it just sounds nicer to me lol
Actually I agree with You I go to bar C for Emajor concert. Chord.no E7
Won’t sound as good but it will keep you out of jail!! ✌🏻
it is missing some basses
It's Jim's part. It's missing the second guitar part (Maury's)
Be Generous and post the full lesson !
,hated how the video ends !
Be generous and buy it so I can pay the mortgage this month ;) (Just kidding :))

I play the guitar and I am not this great
This song is not "I'll Have to Say I Love You In a Song."
To much detail. If people are looking for this song People must know these chords anyway.
Otherwise it's pretty boring
yak yak yak and no playing...lol...
