The unofficial name for where you were at outside of the park (where you bought your raincoat) is called Glitter Gulch. 😊 I absolutely love your enthusiasm to be in Denali. I go there often as it is one of my favorite places. Favorite time if you don’t win the road lottery in September (when 400 cars a day are chosen for a permit for 4 days and can drive their private vehicle the length of the park road) is in the spring and fall shoulder season when you can drive the first 30 miles in your vehicle. Having lived here 45 years I’m a really good tour guide since I’m heavily into photography.
Flower Child the shopping and restaurant area where she got her rain coat. It’s here some of the big hotels are. Basically it’s a lot of Princess Tours and Aramark (vendor who runs most of the park) have their lodges.
Flower Child no I’m not into mountaineering. But I am into photography and backpacking and have been in the park quite a bit over the years. 😊. Last time I was in the park was in May when I was on assignment for a local four by four car rental company and my job was taking photos of their vehicle (Jeep) throughout Alaska. I will be going back up to the park probably within the next couple of weeks for more photography. Fall is my favorite time in the park. I’m almost a lifelong Alaskan and a solo traveler like Carolyn is and have the same spirit of wanderlust and exploring. So I see a lot of Alaska. On and off grid. 😊

I love this video cuz I've always wanted to go to Denali in Alaska but I particularly love the music that you have been playing throughout this video. All the different songs are really unique and appropriate for this type of Adventure.

I'm a firm believer in Kombucha, I have been dealing with eczema for yrs and when I started drinking Kombucha within 2 weeks my skin is clear and has stayed clear. Love the watermelon and cranberry. :)

That parking situation is exactly why I'm converting from my travel trailer to a cargo van that I built out myself. I can park almost anywhere. Travel trailers are even more difficult to find parking than a Class C.
@@flowerchild2479 I bought a Chevy Express. I detailed the criteria for that decision on my channel but quickly it was about traction and not getting stuck in remote areas.
I had to rewind to see the MOOSE again 👍 It was so amazing. The mountain tops were so beautiful and I cant wait to see the next video of you on a hike. You are truly doing a fantastic job at sharing some of your trip with us all. Safe and happy travels to you and Mr. Capone :)

I was leery of venturing out on my own. I have never had a problem going place solo but traveling long distances and to strange areas is a little scary to me. Hi Carolyn, Thanks for bring me along on the road trip to Denali! I am glued to my laptop watching. It is soo gorgeous. I went to Alaska a few years ago. We had a great time staying in off the beaten track resorts and took a helicopter ride over a glacier; stopped at a lake at the foot of the glacier, paddled around in kayaks to a major gull nesting island and hiked back to the lodge. So fun! But we didn't go to Denali and I am so excited to watch your trip. I am jumping up and down in my seat next to you and Capone. Btw, please give him a kiss for me!

I've been told to just add some RV anti-freeze to the black and grey tanks. You then only have to keep the fresh water tank from freezing.
