All the best to your husband for sticking it out with you! 😂 This is a comment from another husband with a wife with OCD. It's been a rough ride for over 11 years and she is nowhere near OCD management, but me learning about OCD and teaching myself about boundaries has helped tremendously.

When you get diagnosed after 5 yrs of breaking up with a person. You din't know you had rocd and other themes of OCD included. You lost someone who also truly loved you. It sucks. I thought I didn't love him. I thought I was not attracted to him anymore. I felt intense guilt for not confessing that I lost feelings for him. Í told him but he was totally confused. He and even my friends reacted in a really confused way. Even I didn't have any reason other than telling them "I don't feel he is the one for me". Everything makes sense now. But I can't go back. I have never been in a relationship since i broke up with him. I was toooooo scared to hurt another person again. I thought I can never be in a relationship. I will end up hurting them. I feel so sad that I lost someone. It could have been a healthy good relationship if I had known all this. Its sad. I miss him. But it's over. It feels unfair to have this .

You are an inspiration! Your story- thoughts, feelings, irrational beliefs, fear etc all mirror mine. This is great motivation. Self and life acceptance is something I’m beginning to incorporate in my OCD treatment. It’s slow rolling but I hope to get underneath the fears.

I love your videos Jade! You are full of pragmatism and it is a pleasure to listen to you. Would you talk more about your journey with ROCD and how you navigated that with big life decisions such as getting pregnant?

I know a couple who got married for political match reasons. They were kind to each other. They had nine kids. They were never in love but she said life got really good after she married.
