Dear Revathi Purushothaman. I am an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark, and is right now i the proces of rewriting a textbook for our engineering education about metallurgy. I would like very much, if it was posible to use one of your pictures of a mild steel not on a brass bolt. Will you give me access to do that. Thank you in advance.
Very good work madam.... I found this after a long search... Google should list this material much higher than others... Could be great if you could link the ppt for download, as it would help us revise it soon..
Zinc will act as sacrificial anode and all the zinc has corroded, mild steel will start corroding. All will happen in the presence of a cortisone medium
The credit cannot be given to one scientist. But it was first identified in 1788 and first published in 1819. If you are truly interested, read the content in this link corrosion-doctors.org/Corrosion-History/Theories.htm
I have already done both the videos. The links are given below. More videos on different types of corrosion and corrosion control are also available ruclips.net/video/v6apBlTVXho/видео.html ruclips.net/video/L3KhB1C47xQ/видео.html
This is the 3rd video I am watching..... Clear presentation in simple words... Thank you for providing useful information

Sure.
Nice presentation
Thank you very much.
Mam answer for third question solder (Pb-Sn) and cu, which will act as cathode
Copper will act as cathode. Most of the metals except noble metals will be anodic to copper.
