Trina and Gio have good chemistry and I love that he made her smile again. This was such a cute scene with Trina singing and Gio asking about her favorite singer. I hope they continue to grow closer, build up their friendship and then later on become a couple❤️
They missed an opportunity to have Tabyana Ali (Trina) and Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer) sing together. Especially since Spencer was always singing Ace lullabies. Still, it was nice hearing Trina sing in general.

Gio barely looks he's 18 and we have to hear that he plays the violin every time he's on-screen and if he's really a good actor then the powers that be shouldn't need to bring up the fact that he plays the violin every time he's on-screen. The powers that be don't do that every time that Emmy Award winning actor Jonathan Jackson is on-screen for example. I think that Gio is too young for Trina and a rebound guy that Trina will dump and this storyline will always be sloppy seconds to Joss and Dex's relationship, Trina deserves better than that in my opinion.

Im looking forward to seeing what develops between Gio and Trina. They need more scenes together and not just Joss talking to Gio about Trina. I definitely think they will develop a friendship based on art (in its various forms) and their grief for their loved ones who have died. At some point they prob will become a couple but I do think Gio will help Trina process her grief as I feel like the writers really haven’t shown that. But GH slow walks couples so that slung be happening anytime soon. I hope the writers learned from the Sprina writing and will give Trina a storyline outside of her relationship with Gio and Joss. When Spencer “died” the writers didnt know what to do with Trina and just pushed her to the side. 🙄 I think in the future Spencer (recast) will come back and maybe they’ll be a real love triangle between Gio and Spencer. NAC isn’t coming back (although he did that teaser about him and FV talking about Spencer coming back in the future). He’s starting a new series with Ryan Murphy (not Monster but a different series). So I would highly encourage fan who are expecting NAC to come back to grieve that loss and move on lol.
As much as I am a Sprina fan , Gio seems to be a good fit. Glad Trina is talking to him and developing a friendship that might lead to something more. Honestly I like them together. I’m not comparing Gio to nobody. I wanna see where this goes

That being said, I’m looking at what’s in front of us. Gio is good looking, can act & looks good on screen next to Taby. If over the next year they can character develop him, & give him good quality screen time with Trina…I can be ok with something happening eventually. Fridays episode alone they managed to be vulnerable, giggly, & spoke on their passions. That to me is worth noting considering they recently met.

I don't think that Tabyana will be staying on GH past her current contract which expires early next year and the writing has been on the wall already for months and I think that NAC already knows that Tabyana won't be staying past her current contract. I also think that the powers that be will have no trouble putting Gio with a young white woman eventually and this storyline will always be sloppy seconds to Joss and Dex's relationship which is what I think that the powers that be want but NAC didn't want a bunch of scenes with Joss and Dex and so Spencer and Trina weren't put in the position of propping up Joss and Dex and their relationship. I think that the powers that be wanted to avoid more negative attention directed at them and wanted to avoid another Greg Vaughn situation where they recast Greg Vaughn as Lucky Spencer and it didn't go well for him. I think that Gio would have been better off in another storyline because I think that he's just a rebound guy who's being set up to fail in this storyline but, he's white so I am sure that the powers that be will have no trouble putting Gio with a young white woman once Trina dumps him. I wanted to see Trina date a man not some teenager that barely looks like he's 18 where we have to hear that he plays the violin every time he's on-screen.
