Hello! Im having a hard time with this. You start with 11 sc and increase in every stitch and get 24? Even tho double 11 is 22. Should i be starting with 12 instead?
In the video you state that you go back into the first stitch, and not the chain 2 in round one. You must have added an extra two double crochets in round two into the loop that is there from slip stitching in the first round. It might confuse people like it has me, maybe put something in the description? And thank you for the video, I have made many of the squares now, I love them :)
Yes! Finally someone with the actual video (not to fast not to slow explanations) of what I was trying to make!
So glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Im doing a similar design on a tote bag and was really struggling with the mushroom shapes, this is a great help, thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Make sure to check out the designer's pattern page for more ideas and tips!

Usually the beginning of a round you chain 3 to travel upwards, which counts as a double crochet.
