@baba-ue9jj Both are. The base 17 offers most of what everyone has been wanting from Samsung for years. People only care about the thinness of the phone because media told them to-it was such a non-issue beforehand and still is.

Apple's Engineering team has never been the problem. The issue is that their Engineering team works under the Marketing team. That has always been the best and worst thing about Apple.
I sorta agree, but I feel like the marketing team must have had a bit of a crisis when they found out the engineering team designed the 17pro with aluminium instead of titanium, especially considering how hard they marketed titanium as a superior material for the 15 and 16 pros...

@BlixBCRI doubt that. The 17 Pro and Max is a totally different phone from the 16 Pro and Max. Very few people care about it going to an aluminum monocoque body. The advantages are too great to ignore. Mine is cooler than my 16 Pro Max.

I had to view it again because it was indeed so unexpected and funny. I bursted out laughing the first time and while rewinding the video to the start of this scene I couldn’t stop giggling and laughing. I noticed that Samuel cut Mike the Designer in for a less than a second looking on his phone and back to the Apple manager and that‘s why it was soooooo funny when Mike the Designer turned his head in shock and awe. Great storytelling, Samuel!

To get an eSim you need a WiFi connection, that's why you could probably not set that up.
but 12 hours of battery for a thin phone is great
It's not 12 hours of screeen on time, it's 12 hours of battery life. Meaning, the screen on time could have been 2 hours only, or 2.5 hours. Don't delude yourself, because if you normally have 4 to 5 hours of screen on time, then the Air will never give you a 12 hours of battery life.

Btw. in the colder half of the year, living in a city, the sky is mostly depressingly gray. The mountain area has mostly blue sky but is boring as hell, if there is no snow (it’s getting less and less each year) or is too cold or wet/muddy for a hike.
Nothing is perfect but yea, I do appreciate the beauty of Switzerland - while avoiding going broke by daily expenses.
Why is food so expensive over there? I don’t want to go broke when doing a vacation in Switzerland!
