Nothing More - Go To War Lyrics:
I don't know what you had in mind
But here we stand on opposing sides
Let's go to war
We arm ourselves with the wrongs we've done
Name them off one by one
Let's go to war
Everything you say
Everything you do
You push it in
And you cut me down
War, war, war
Screaming at the ones we love
Like we forgot who we can trust
Screaming at the top of our lungs
On the grounds where we feel safe
Do we feel safe?
Hush my baby; make no sound
Maybe we can wait each other out
It’s a cold war
Let’s go to war
With every settled score
I thought that fighting with meant fighting for
But you turn it around
War, war, war
Screaming at the ones we love
Like we forgot who we can trust
Screaming at the top of our lungs
On the grounds where we feel safe
Do we feel safe?
Do we censor or do we flow?
Are we drunk on the chemicals?
Every feeling in my bones tells me to lash out
And tell you to fuck off
You’ve got my heart
And I've got your soul
But are we better off alone?
With every battle we lose a little more
Remember everything that we’d die for
You are everything that I’d die for
Screaming at the ones we love
Like we forgot who we can trust
We're screaming at the top of our lungs
On the grounds that we feel safe
Do we feel safe?
Do you feel safe?

"I thought that fighting with meant fighting for, but you turned it around." The BEST line in this song. Lots of meaning in this 1-2 lines
Jazzlynn Schulte I really liked that one, but I like “screaming at the ones we love, like we forgot who we can trust was a biiiit better, I love this song
"You're everything that I died for" is just-
I like the end with " do we feel safe, do you feel safe"

Istg the best line I've heard because it's so true, I LOVE ME SOME MUSIC FROM NOTHING MORE, ESPECIALLY THE GREAT DIVORCE, THIS IS THE TIME, DON'T STOP, AND LET EM BURN!!!!!
“You are everything that I died for” that line is way to underrated. It hit me so hard...
Ikr, best line in the song if I'm going tbh
And, "You got my heart, I got your soul. But are we better off alone?"
Thats also a good one, speaks hard to the soul

Cringe
I've never in my life heard a more powerfully designed war song. War in multiple contexts, of course, from general conflict to full-out wars in real world situations. It's so. . . perfectly written. The tune devotes itself to a multitude of moods, ranging from intense anger in the middle, what sounds like regret and the questioning of whether or not the fighting is even worth it at all, and at the end it fades out into a solemn question on what matters the most, "Do we feel safe?" The song practically questions its own morals. Many war and fighting songs sound so confident, so high-held and so powerful, like they know what they're doing, and they have the feeling they'll win. This one, it gives off a sense of questioning, a sense of conflicted morals, like you want to fight, but you really don't. Ambition clashing with humanity, friends clashing with enemies. It doesn't sound as sure of himself, like he wants to back out and go a peaceful route. This song is underrated to hell and back, and it upsets me that nobody of my friend group seems to love it like I do. In short, I read into songs way too deep, but its a real good time.

In these troubling times of violence, death, and panic, this song bears a whole new meaning. I hope Nothing More realizes it's universal interpretation and that people know what I mean when I say this personifies all this chaos.

That wonderful feeling when you see a song you haven't heard before and say "screw it, let's try it" and you end up liking it.
This encapsulates our world perfectly. The constant strife, fighting, arguing, and hatred being fostered where there is none; all in an attempt to chase the lie that it will bring us “safety” in a world that is perilous to its core.
RUclips finally understands my taste in music

This entire song gives me chills. Holy shit.
omg metoo
I grew up around screams and fighting. Very turbulent childhood that has infected my life with anxiety and a touch of mistrust toward any environment I'm in for the first few months I'm in it, and back and forth for a few more. It has led to fights with people I respect and cherish that didn't need to ever happen. It's a daily struggle outside of environments I've come to know and trust intimately and implicitly. It's like waking up daily and going to war, but not to fight. Fighting a war against war. Not letting inner turmoil become outer turmoil. I love this song and always come back to it after some time. The way I've internalized this song, it feels relevant enough to me personally that it always leaves me introspective, gauging how well I'm doing holding back trauma and damages from impacting my interactions with those around me. I still slip, even approaching 30, but I'm glad to say I've grown past screaming at the ones I love and finally found people who love me back, understand, and help me through the journey.
I hope this comment gives hope to any who are currently being formed or have been formed by experiences similar to mine. It does get better. You do eventually find the right people for you to truly feel safe.

They say we as civilians are too stupid to make our own choices and we need government to command us. Almost 250 years ago, a group of farmers rose up, and gave birth to the most powerful nation god has ever brought upon the face of the earth. Let’s not forget this.
People seem to forget that. They look at the ugly scars this country has, but forget about how powerful we truly are. The issue is the government, not the people.
Lol yeah and history definitely repeats.
I heard "Cold war"
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH ITS HISTORY ALL OVER AGAIN
Y e s
AHHHHHHHHHH I LOVE IT
I don't like like this song I LOVE IT
when I listen to this song, I basically think about Adolf's backstory, from when he was a child, abused, lost his brother, mother, and was sent to war. with the hatred and war within his mind, he lashes this hatred towards the Jewish and french, seeing that the French abused the Germans, and eventually abused the French. also the thoughts of how bad it was for Stalin, when he was abused and lashed parts of his rage. with these dictators that lashed their rage. as well as the scenes of how terrible it was of the Jewish, where they loved Germany, but were torn away from it, losing their trust with Germany. a really sad and scary scenario for the song. "everything you say. everything you do you push it in. and you cut me down!" this line would be for the Germans as a whole, as the British and French gave these terrible punishments and as well changing the authoritarian government of Germany, ruining the nation. which, as the ruined nation came about, Fascism was seeked and practiced within the government, which, fixed the nation and made it more better and stronger.

I’m writing a novel and the end will have a war between a powerful shapeshifter girl and her father who has an irrational hatred for shapeshifters and lead a group known as The Hunters. After years of abuse and recovery they come back together in a war. A father that was supposed to keep her safe but instead incites a war. The song motives me to keep writing whenever I hit a writers block cause I know the end goal is her screaming “let’s go to war”. So thank you for my books theme song and my muse when I’m stuck.

This song gives me battle of Hogwarts vibes. Just imagine students being forced into battle against family members and loved ones on the grounds of the one place they're supposed to feel safest.
It gives me twilight vibes for some reason
Imagine two best friends... Once before Hogwarts they were just kids Who knew nach other, played togetter sometimes.. then 1 got sorted into Slytherin, the other went to Gryffindor...
over the years they found new friends, didn't see each other so often and when Voldemord came back the one kid had to move away... So not even in the holidays they had the possibillity to be friends... Now one of them becomes a deatheater, serves the dark lord and At the battle of Hogwarts they finally see each other again. They stand there face to face, one has to lead a Group of deatheaters the other one fight for his home. Now the de one wants to Hug his old friend, apologize for what he did but then the other one says the First line: "I don't know what you had in mind, but here we're standing on opozing sides..." "let's go to war..." the other one whispers. And as a responce he just hears his own words, but they are ahouten with so mich anger "LET'S GO TO WAR!" and now the battle begins.
Hours Later Voldemord tells that Harry is death and he's the new "ruler"... Who doesn't bow to him will die. Now the one Who fought for Harry stands up and tells Voldemord that he will never serve him. Voldemord raises bis wand and shouts: "Crucio " the other friend jumps and catches the spell, he fells ro the ground and wimmers in his pain. Now another deatheater raises bis wand and shouts: "sectumsempra" to the other one... the friend Who catched the spell now says this words to his old friend, in whose arms he's diying in rn: "you are the only thing I'd die for..." Then suddenly Harry jumps out of Hagrids arms and the battle starts again. A healer comes to them and heals the one who's hurt with the same spell Snape healed Draco. After that they start fighting togetter and one friend asks: "do you feel save?" From now on they fight back to back.
It also reminds me of Percy jackson, the battle for Manhattan and the second with Gaia
It's a very good and fitting fandom song in general. I can think of a lot of fandoms this would be perfect for.
OMG YESSSSSSSSSS
Idk if anyone else can relate but this honestly fitting for my dad's side of the family and when I'm at his house for a weekend. My dad isn't a great person and hasn't been from the start, my mom and dad were never together and it all spiralled into years and still continuing those years of struggles. I'm the only one who has the power to pull this family together to get thing under control on my mom's side of the family, but once I'm 18 I'm leaving my dad for good.
My mom saw Nothing More at a concert a few weeks ago, and omg the lead singer was a spider monkey. He started like 2 stories up and jumped down, grabbing this giant machine thing and launched himself through the sky and landed, using his feet to play the drum and the drumsticks to play the guitar part. Unfortunately, my mom didn't know he would do that so she didn't record it but she has a video of him playing the machine, and it's super cool.
I was looking for war music to soothe me (idk why) and I found this. I sometimes use this to calm myself down after a mental breakdown
