Guys it's a Xbox glitch it's not your equipment it lasted four or five days for me then fixed itself so don't change any of your settings I promise you that's the problem I bought new headset and controller and it still didn't work then went back to my old headset and controller and it worked so good luck troops ✌️🏴

Dude I plugged in the eliminator mod for my controller and it wouldn’t let me talk so I thought that was normal because ya know it’s different but when I put my normal battery pack in it still don’t let me talk🙄

YESS SIRRRR as of whenever this comment is posted this helped my issue. Somehow my headset mic got turned off in that same audio and music menu. I wasn’t getting voice chat out the Xbox just out the mic on the headset. I.e. no party chat from me but everything else was working. Thanks random RUclips guy from google you are 🐐’d
HEY EVERYONE I FIXED IT!!! All you have to do is go to Settings > General > Power mode & Startup > Full Shutdown I tried everything else but when I powered it back up after I fully shut it down it started working again.!!!

It’s grey because if you can’t here your game sound through your headset that’s why that option is grey because either ur mic has been broken recently or u have not enable headset mic when you press the Xbox button then at the very bottom I see a volume icon you press on that then u turn of headset mic (ON) if that doesn’t work you just gotta buy another microphone 🎤 because l had the same problem about 10 times and it was because l couldn’t hear my game sound through my mic, and maybe it depends what mic u have because u might of bought it of the Chinese store, JK 😅

I just got a headset with xbox one compability, but just with like every other headset it doesn't give me any control over headset volume, chat mixer or mic monitoring when plugged in to my wired or wireless controller. They're all fixed values of 100%, 25% and 0% of mic monitoring. Above it says to change volume on my headset. Plugging the headset in gives me the headset icon and it's not overcrossed, joining a party of my own I see the icon that the mic is picking up sound when I speak or make other noises. But nothing is heard in the speakers &/ headset.

The aux is probably busted, the actual port that your mic gets plugged into. I've replaced my controller aux like twice and recently I replaced it again and the mic gets picked up by the Xbox but I can't talk. I've tested the mic on other stuff and it works. I don't know though so yeah that's why I'm here and yeah.

I could do a chair review. I can tell you, that my chair is holding up great! I had to tighten up the arm rests once thats about it. No tears or breaks anywhere. I think its very comfortable and it orientates me upright.

If your mic just randomly stopped working make sure you have the “headset mic” set to on in the audio and music section of the home tab Mine turned off in the middle of a game and it took me 20 mins to figure out why my mic stopped working

I have a RazR Kraken wireless headset, it doesn’t require the usb and it runs only from Bluetooth I try to to speak to people and I never works. $150.00 headset and I’m pissed, I’ve had it for months and it still doesn’t work. Just a little extra advice.... If u have a wireless headset with the dongle and eat to use wired headset while the wireless one is charging make sure u remove the dongle or only game sound (and not chat) will come thru ur wireless headset

Thank you this whole time I had a mic but like never worth it was but more headphones more headphones and I have the specific headphones that I recently bought and I thought well it doesn't work and the one time today that I'm putting this comment it was working and then I unplugged it and plugged it and it stopped working so thank you man
my headset mixer is all the way to the right and it wont let me move it any sugg
make sure when u go to the volume thing it says headset mic on

I have it plugged in. On the audio settings, it's greyed out, but it's KIND of working? I can hear others and he game, but the mic is not working. It says use headset or audio device to change volume. And whenever I move it the chat mixer and headset volume change very sporadically, but the mic is completely off and I can do nothing. *sigh* this shouldn't be that hard.
I have a RazR Kraken wireless headset, it doesn’t require the usb and it runs only from Bluetooth I try to to speak to people and I never works. $150.00 headset and I’m pissed, I’ve had it for months and it still doesn’t work. The audio is fine, the mic is back and forth but DOESNT work more than often..

my headset is working just fine but my mic isnt. i know its because of the plug with a mic picture on it isnt plugged in but i already have my headset’s plug in and my controller only has one connection hole and i dont know how to fix this problem
Mic stopped working months ago. Tried all setting I could find. Tried multiple headsets, even bought a next Xbox. Still no voice coming through.
I already did all of these and it still wont let me talk pls help and this mic is brand new when i first tested it, it was perfectly fine now all of a sudden it wont work
Volume options. I dont have this option. Unable to access party chat output as its not there. Any ideas?
Just a little extra advice.... If u have a wireless headset with the dongle and eat to use wired headset while the wireless one is charging make sure u remove the dongle or only game sound (and not chat) will come thru ur wireless headset
I got a question what if not all the signs are lit up on the mic but only the top one is does my might still work
I can hear sound from my tv and when I put in my headphones they just don’t work and the sound still comes from the tv and the headphones aren’t broke cuz there brand new so I’m very confused
