This is the first time I have seen Jerusalem with rain. I was there four times, it was always sunny and blue skies.

@@mihaelastefanescu6205 Yes, I was in Jerusalem in both January and in July. I meant no criticism, just gratitude to see for the first time in my experience, Jerusalem in rain. In a dry area, rain is a blessing. When I was there it was very dry. When there, I saw on jaffa street some of the stores have a kind of mist spray they turn on in the afternoon. I don't know if the stores themselves install it, or it was a municipal thing.
It was good to see Mahane Yehuda. People asked me if I went to that market, but I missed that opportunity. I went as often as I could to a steak restaurant. I think it was called the bar grill, about two minutes walk east of the Herbert Samuel hotel. That was in 2018. I don't know if it is still open.
Tel Aviv, on the other hand, seemed to rain almost nightly. Not so much in daytime but the thunderstorms at night used to wake me up in my hotel room.

Can't figure out what it is, but there is something that makes me singularly claustrophobic about cities here with their couple stories architecture and completely plastered over space giving only tokens to nature. Nyc has skyscrapers that feel like they are the wild trees of the city, it feels more raw maybe, and they also have more tall trees.
