- The kaiju has gone super sonic. Knuckles needs to take him down, once and for all. But this fight isn’t simply Sonic vs Knucks. No. The echidna has the Sonic dream team of Tails, Amy Rose, Big the Cat, Cream the Rabbit and Blaze the Cat to fight alongside him. But, Sonic the Hedgehog / Kaiju has a few tricks up his sleeve for our heroes.
It’s gonna be tough: a lot of them still believe the Blue Blur is in this Sonic exe type monster… somewhere. But, they know this battle can’t rage on forever. So, sit back, relax, and watch the penultimate episode of There’s Something About Knuckles.

😐😐 nah that's okay, I liked this episode ❤
Just to explain why we couldn't quite finish the series with this episode, basically we are our own worst enemies and the duration ballooned during final script writing. We really wanted to deliver something great before the end of the year, so we put EVERYTHING into this six minute penultimate episode. Like Im talking many many late nights and a HUGE team (30+ people).
The next episode really will be the end of this chapter. Promise it'll be worth the wait. Mashed

I just had a thought... What if Secret histories Tails isn't THIS Tails. He's the voice inside Knuckles' head pushing him to make bad decisions.
My theory corrected. It has to be a nanobot planted inside of Knuckles’ head.
Yeah I don’t think it would make sense for SH Tails to be this one, the voice in his head has been telling him to distrust this world’s Tails for a while

I have a theory that the voice Knuckles keeps hearing is the 'There's something about Amy' Tails, pushing Knuckles over the edge to become the best version of himself: The Lone Brute.
@willb.5225 Fair enough, but then this Knuckles is probably still a viable candidate since prior to the Sonic-Kaiju incident, that's probably what Knuckles was. I still think that 'There's something about Amy' Tails is trying to evoke that classic Knuckles, the lone brute who was steadfast in his ways to do what he wants.

Now that I think about it. Perhaps the fact that Knuckles was blind in one eye was probably foreshadowing the curse transfer into it.

Well the series is great but the thing thats making it endless is the fact that it's being uploaded slowly and each episode is barely 3 to 4 minutes at best except for this one while in THSAA the episodes were longer+more frequently uploaded. I don't mind the not ending part but the timer on each sucks

Once upon a time I mentioned my appreciation for the amazing talent these animators possess, the way the faces aren't restricting the expressions of the imagination have a certain charm that can't be copied in an alternate route
THEORY- This finally confirms Secret History Tails manipulation. Somehow, he’s the voice in Knuckles head, telling him to use the emerald to become a monster.
And that the Tails in this universe was a scapegoat. But then again, he could’ve been pretending to be Tails and then slipped a nano bot inside of Knuckles’ head. Similar to what happened in the Transformers IDW Comics with Tarantulas manipulating Roadbuster before killing him.
I was under the impression was just knux's psyche cracking under the pressure of losing Sonic and being forced into leadership. Maybe I'm wrong but I feel that this Tails and Amy are genuine and not imposters. The only really sus thing was tails keeping the secret about sonic from the others, but I can't blame someone for doing something like that either. Honestly I'm still on the fence and will just have to wait to see how things turns out.

@@mr.l8723 Indeed, for example Tails could have spiked Knux's drink(s) to effect his mind or something. Thats why I'm not ruling it out entirely, just can't make any definitive judgment yet.

I STILL personally believe that Tails and Amy are both the same ones we saw earlier and that they're both doing some GRADE A acting imo. Tails especially being expertly manipulative and Amy directed in how she should act and what she should do.
I just want to BET that her approaching Sonic like that could have been a planned scenario to get Knuckles to go over the edge and do something that will permanently change him.

Waiting for the reveal to be that Something Tales had placed a microphone in Knuckles's ear.
That the voice he kept hearing giving him dark thoughts was a simple fox standing on the sidelines.
It may be just me, but does anyone else think that a Kaiju Sonic hunt would make for a banger Monster Hunter mod? Maybe we could get TeacommonShark for it.

Given by the scream at the end, I think Knuckles will also become a Kaiju in order to free Sonic. Because if you listen closely to the yell, it doesn’t sound like Sonic’s. It sounds deeper and we last see Knuckles about to shatter the container the emerald is in. So we might see Kaiju Knuckles
But he's in the mech, so it might help?

I love how basically each "bad version" of each one is basically the stereotype each of them had became in recent games till Horizons, Tails personality comes down to "help others" and "Sonic friend", as Tails is obsessed with Sonic and always tries to push others to their "full potential" in his eyes, Amy being bonkers by loving Sonic and being a brute, and Knuckles, when he eventually absorbs the chaos emerald, becoming the dumb and strong of the group
Mashed, I don’t think you know this yet… but the team behind the official “Sonic the Hedgehog” YT Channel _(seemingly)_ acknowledged this series in their “Sonic Twitter & TikTok Takeover # 7” video- specifically when they get to the 3rd Question. (Just listen to what Tails says! 🦊)

Is it me, or did Amy randomly get a bit of a budget increase there?
This chapter has been a massive wild ride since the beginning. And now that the end of this chapter of the journey is only a month and a half at shortest away is astounding.
By the way: did you all know today is chapter 2's first anniversary? Part 1 released all the way back exactly a year ago today, and Part 6 literally launched the same day as it...
Coincidentally enough, mashed also said that part 2 would launch in Q1 earlier this year and it released on February 2nd....could that be part 8s possible release date? I dunno.
I do have two more theories and its my final two for this chapter....for real this time i swear
All my previous theories besides eggman having something to do with all of this have all been confirmed to be sadly rubbish. But thats what i like honestly: this series has completely subverted what i thought would happen and throw a curveball that surprised me nearly every time.
But this time. I think i finally cracked it, almost the near end in and i think i finally solved the mystery of the real story of robotnik... and that SH tails might not be as involved this time as you think he is
Time for the first one...
-Crazy Amy was the big mastermind this time:
The signs have been there since the start just like with tails back in chapter 1.
However...what can be noticed is that tail's doesn't really have many major out of character moments this time besides his behavior in part 6 at the start...amy on the other hand has had notable instances of "wierd" moments. The biggest one had to also be in part 6 where her eyes change to a familiar "red" color and attempts to murder tails... and later on when she comes across the body of eggman and the syringe on the table, she doesn't react at all nor questions anything about it, in fact she even seems to try and change the subject with "where the kaiju is" as if shes trying to dodge the question entirely...
And wouldn't you know it: this part ends with amy attempting to talk to "sonic"...why she didn't try at the start of this is something that can't be answered now. But i won't be surprised if at this end of this chapter we get something like "I'm sonics dream girl!" Instead of "I'm sonics best friend!"...
Im not saying Secret histories tails did nothing at all. If anything he was much more indirect this time, which leads to my next theory
Damn, big did not have to go out like that. But at least Blaze has a VA now.
Damn the level of suspense in this series has been crazy and is this really the end of the series especially after they leave us on a cliffhanger like that?

Congratulations guys, great work on your part. Poor Amy, poor Knuckles, poor Tails, poor Sonic. Real Sonic could talk to them somehow, or through telepathy, he could explain to them where the monster's weak point is.

Everyone is talking about how great Amy and Tails’ voice actress is but no one is talking about how great Knuckles’ voice actor is (including his inner voice). 6:01 the part when the voice said Wakey Wakey brings out shivers.

Also, man would I love to look at all the designs of the characters, their mechs and the Kajiu’s after this, without the emotional context so I can just bask in the beauty of this art
it’s genuinely beautiful and rad
I love how the animation is basically those "harsh sketch-like moments" that are used in shows such as Gurren Lagann in the very special scenes - but here those are everywhere. Some may say it's due to "production budget being lower than FREAKING GAINAX" but I'd say there is also another reason for it. Because every moment here seems like those vital high-stakes moments that usual products (such as anime shows) have to use sparingly and draw out for several seasons. Here we have CONCENTRATED HYPE.
I actually REALLY like this knuckles, and you can see how much he's not only struggling with his insecurities, but ACTUALLY fighting them. He had the idea, that maybe he could use that chaos power and control it, and his ego even told him in a desperate attempt to piece itself together that he was strong enough that he COULD, and yet... He didn't try. He kept fighting until all other options were exhausted. Yes, he stilled turned to his idea in the end. However, the fact that he waited first shows how his character is still growing, and if he survives the chaos it looks like he might come out a much better man. Unless of course he get's recruited by the batman who la- I mean weird twisted sonic from the amy short series

In one of the mashed podcasts they said that this series is actually really part of There's Something About Amy series. Which at some point both universes are suppose to merge together for the actual main story line.
I wasn't surprised when part 8 will be coming soon
Finally, a sonic fan animation that actually has a compelling story, and actually lets the girls do stuff instead of having them just be scared on the sidelines. The animation and voice acting is great too. Kudos
I'm still thinking that killing the Titan isn't gonna stop the curse. And even if it does, Knux is going to become a Titan anyway, thanks to that Chaos Emerald.

@@pinkiepierocks6360 I'm thinking that when Sonic/the Titan is neutralized, and Knuckles becomes the new Titan, is when SH Tails will finally reveal himself, and by that point, everyone else aside from him and Amy will be dead. Nobody left to stop him, and he doesn't have to worry about decaying the world with the energy crystals, if Knuckles will do the job for him.

I love the design of sonic kaiju, is literally a Living hell walking, living only to bring death to all life in all the universe
It's scary how Knuckles' jealousy is slowly turning him into a monster.
I believe Tails will find the Emerald crystal resonance frequency and use Harmonic vibrations to shatter the crystal. Then Tails will be cursed for shattering the crystal or unwittingly join Sonic and both will be cursed. That would then lead into Something About Amy meeting Sonic.
This part makes so much more sense after watching part 9.

Oh my goodness. Knuckles is gonna get the Kaiju powers, loose his mind, and then be taken in by SH Tails and Franken-Amy.
Ahh so that’s how tails is playing this, the pressure of the path he’s most likely been guiding knuckles on has finally pushed knuckles to do something previously unthinkable to save his friends, become the monster. And with tails “conveniently” taking extra care to save the DEMONIC crystal he has the opportunity, I’m sure I’m not the first person to think this but I gotta say well played by tails, if this turns out to be correct he’s supernaturally good at long term planning.
