Nice to see someone, that thinks repairing, instead of replacing is a good thing for humanity. Too bad many companies are in business that make disposable devices, instead of quality repairable ones.
Yes but on other side this sistem is good, because, product are cheap and people get jobs and money, they can easily make a car wich last 40-50 years, but than we don't need new ones ok we need but only few percent. This shome gadgets is calculated very good so it last 5years and than waranty expired, and some component fail. Few times can be fixed but sooner or later cost of repair become too high and we need to buy new product.
Agreed, but, IMHO, there is no reason to arbitrarily make anything so cheaply, that it requires rdijacdment in less than 5- 10 years. Multi-billionaires now get large reward, in many cases by automated production methods using next to nothing in people resources. There we end up welcoming the welfare state where many young people are unable to find jobs and require subsidy by the remaining workforce. Bottomline, it is the consumers that end up getting dinged while the upper class still take a disproportionate share, all the time getting tax breaks from the government ments, that get the taxes from those least able to pay the heavier and heavier tax burden placed on them. That is why I believd you provide an essential service to many with tips to prolong the life of their purchases, while informing them of the potential hazards should they attempt such things without any knowledge whatsoever.
I hope, otherwise i take it to workshop again ;) i fix drier about 5 times already, once the mainboard died, than need to replace belt... there are always something to fix in home gadgets after 5 years when the warranty goes out. Dishwasher also stop working, all i need to do was replace the main pump motor capacitor, and it works again for about 3 years now.
TinC33 - Seems everything is engineered to break these days. I miss the days when it was a one-time purchase, good enough to pass on to the next generation!
@@jmtx. True, i remember my grandfather, fix some 30yold washing machine, the rubber hoose was broken, so water come out, he glue the rubber and work again. what i want to say, rubber tube is the last think it will fail those days, electronic and other material is on minimum and that's the result, washing machine pump cost only about 12€ but it doesn't got even brass bushes for the shaft, it's just plastic, so when it wear out rotor start vibrating and don't got power to pump water, but it work for 5-6 years and the producer wins ;) On other side that sistem is good for making jobs and make money circles.
Thanks, but i don't got lot of them, because only make 3year of electrical school, than employed myself with 18 years, so i know just some basics about electronics elements, but solder lot of stuff cuz i like it :)
Hi there I have exactly the same problem "faulty encoder" BUT there are no numbers on it only the maker's name "Everest" the microwave is a Hinari Lifestyle 3 contacts run along one edge/side and two more which are earth/ground. Can you recommend a test that I can undertake to find out which model/variant will be applicable?
so i checked the low circuit voltage module, specifically to check the rotary encoder. it got detached from the pcb when i opened the circuit module. Instead it remained intact with the button/dial frame so i had no way to find out the type of rotary encoder to purchase. I'll try to force it out of the frame. But yours look so easy. the dial knob removed from the rotary encoder effortless.
My microwave encoder is not functioning i changed it with the new one it feels like click while rotating which means it's rotating properly and pressing the button also work but rotating it does nothing. Could it be ic fault 😞 please help.

Thank you. Microwave machines are cheap to buy but really great you can share your knowledge to help many others to save the environment.

Mmmmm, warm donuts! Thanks for an excellent maintenance video! The microwave will work for many more years now.

what type of grease did you use? i reckon it should be one that resists the heat. I only have Lithium grease for now
Any grease will be ok, i only grease plastic part wich didn't exposed to heat, and apply thin layer so excess can't find way to food
@@TinC33 alright and what oil did you us for the fan? thanks for the info
@@OprichnikStyle don't know exactly also i think it was motor oil 10w40

I just use the one it fits by size, i think there are not many different encoders with same size and look.
if i send you my microwave can you fix?
Moral of the story. Always have spare parts in the house, use common knowledge ... and most importantly leave the sticker on the display.
My microwave encoder is not functioning i changed it with the new one it feels like click while rotating which means it's rotating properly and pressing the button also work but rotating it does nothing. Could it be ic fault 😞 please help.
Idk what should be a problem, i would firstly check lines on a pcb, if there wasn't some demaged line
Please remember to always discharge the capacitors before starting to repair 😈 Greetings from France Laurent
👍Thumbs up for the sweet reward 😊
