Looks really good! I could cook and dehydrate that beef for the trail or while kayak camping. The rest the trail friendly. Thanks for sharing! Someone should make a public playlist of all the Canteen Cup Tuesday episodes that everyone shared so they are all easier to find and reference in the future. Just an idea...
John, thanks my Florida bother. Yes you could dehydrate the beef, the rest is 100% trail friendly. This was the easiest one so far and one of the best tasting. It made A LOT...lol
Thanks brother. I just checked yours out and it is great! I can't believe the things people are coming up with, and I absolutely love your surplus gear...
Every time I watch these canteen cup Tuesdays my mouth waters uncontrollably! LOL!! Keep em coming, love em’ BTW, I’m saving your recipes!! I hope they’re not copyrighted. 🤣 Love these videos, thank you. 👍🏻
Yum! Shepherd's Pie is one of my favorites, but I haven't thought of it as something I could enjoy on the trail. Thanks for the idea! And you aren't kidding about that wind, it's been pretty bad down south here too.
Looking real good! We usually use peas rather than corn, but I suspect corn would be just as good. Thanks for the idea! I never considered making Shepard's Pie in a canteen cup. Good on ya', as they say somewhere and thanks again.
Thanks man. I thought about using peas/carrots but what's the difference as long as you do it outdoors...lol. The peas/carrots are coming in a future video. Thanks for watching man
That's some great looking stuff!! I seen everyone else getting their canteen cup Tuesday videos done, I am going to get mine done this Tuesday coming up! Great stuff buddy!!
Great recipe, Matt! I've been wanting to try it for years!! Our Canteen Cup Tuesday got seriously rained out but I think I'm going to do a Throwback today or tomorrow and this might just have to be on the menu! Thanks for the kick in the butt to get on it!
Looks good should have layered the cheese in though and some kind of sauce or some cream corn with the regular corn. Just an idea. I like your approach and never thought of that as a trail dish. That's Awesome !
FLBoySurvival, Matt I gotta quit watching your vids before I have supper. Again another awesome trail meal Brother. I dont use salt at all as most foods have way too much already in it, but I love my pepper. I use and bring with me Spicy Pepper Medley and use that when on our trips, goes good with eggs, fresh walleye or pike, and I use coconut butter as well instead of grease or oil. We had thunder storms last night and 6c, now -2c and 70km winds and snow, all in one morning. I thought I heard a lawnmower in the back. I love Florida, have to get down to Brooksville to see our friends soon.
I only added a very small amount of salt, I don't use much either but i love my pepper. Yes, that was a lawnmower. It is spring here already and the temps are in the low-mid 80's
Good one Matt! Looks like the CCCC is gonna get popular, huh? Nice jump in subs since last week shows folks like watching cooking vids after all!!! Mine will post tomorrow.
Really enjoying canteen cup Tuesday. Just wondering, what happened to your hardware cloth stand for canteen cup stand? Seems like there was some type of metal rod instead. The hardware cloth seemed like a great idea. How come you switched off and which do you prefer? How did you make this new item of metal rod support for the cup? Thank You
I was using a couple of metal rods that I made out of a coat hanger. I still use the hardware cloth but these are just as good. Maybe I will do a video of those.......
A video would be great and much appreciated. I have been trying to setup a cook set based upon US Genuine canteen cup and an after market stand. And they nest with Nalgene canteen and USGI pouch. The problem I have been dealing with is the cup just doesn't seem to sit down steadily, and any wires I add, make it worse. Your help and support with videos on cooking has been great
WOWAH! You out did yourself on this one...I gotta give this a go ManLand Style Because you are so Inspiring....I've got a video uploading today from Last Tuesday when I met you and instantly shot that video...but just now got it edited last night and over 5 hours later due to editing no time to upload until now...lol. I'll shoot you a message when it gets up on the Slow Tubes...lol.
That looks awesome!! Those are the best potatoes Yup! Sometimes, the wilds of the backyard got to do! It's great to hear that there are others jumping on board the Canteen Cup Tuesday Train! I think ya might have started something!
This is so awesome!! Love this series and will be trying a few of these recipes that you have done!! This one looked particularly good :D Yummy! Hope to see you round on our side some time :D Safe travels, Thalia & John, South African Travel Vloggers
Nuthin' wrong with using a chem camp stove. But if you use a fire or gassifier stove, then you can put a couple o' coals on the cup lid and melt the the cheese thoroughly. Great vids, luv watchin'!
Actually it looks as good as my wife makes. I haven't viewed all of your videos but I'm wondering if you could make scrambled eggs and bacon in a canteen cup?
Thanks! I have done scrambled eggs and bacon before. The bacon is easy but the scrambled eggs stick pretty bad if you don't do the bacon first then do the eggs in the bacon grease. But is there really any other way to do it?...lol
Excuse me sir that is a Cottage Pie (Beef) here in the UK we use a Shepherd to herd the sheep (lamb) so as your Canteen Cup contains beef We feel cheated...
Well it was you "yanks" that pulled our backsides out of the fire twice more than 70 years ago so i will forgive you on the shepherds pie .. but don't let it happen again
Very good. Thank you very much
Thanks!
Getting better every time. Thanks
Haha, thanks. It is hard to keep coming up with ideas...lol

Good Stuff!
I gotta share this... you have motivated me to try this.
No problems man. This was soooo easy and soooo damn good....it easily makes 18 oz so you had better be hungry when you try it lol
Meat & Taters, always a hit with me. ;)
I shared it on my FB page, this is a great participation idea. (And it gets me using my canteen cup)
Add a slice of onion (diced) or some onion or onion flakes, peas (I make dehydrated at home).
I will try a little onion powder next time. I am not a fan of sliced onions...
OMG im so going to make that yummy ................. great job
Pretty good, right?
Mmmm... that looked good!
It was really good and easy...

Thanks. It was good anyways...lol
Now I'm starving...
All in all it turned out pretty good
I still don't understand why you won't snap cup handles together?
The handles dont match on the GI cup...
Did I just see you eat raw hamburger off the spoon?😂😂
I confess...I did
twice
Even my wife stopped and watched this video. She doesn't even watch MY videos! Hahahahaha! Looks really delicious!
This one was great and very easy. I got a few good ones coming up.......

It was really good and very easy. Made A LOT
That was really awesome Matt! I really enjoyed that. love the creativity!
I think the water cup was taunting you during the boiling process. :-)
Haha, that damn cup....this one was pretty good and very easy
You didn't just put hamburger in that! NO way! OK, next time I go camping - I know who I'll appoint head chief!
Actually it looks as good as my wife makes. I haven't viewed all of your videos but I'm wondering if you could make scrambled eggs and bacon in a canteen cup?

Where did you get the canteen cups and the lids for them sir?
I got them from Amazon. See my links in the description below the videos....
Looks good but no hot sauce???

Excuse me sir that is a Cottage Pie (Beef) here in the UK we use a Shepherd to herd the sheep (lamb) so as your Canteen Cup contains beef We feel cheated...
Us yanks can never get anything right lol

Cool dish but only one layer of cheese
Yes, you are right
@@FloridaBoyBushcraftSurvival maybe one more layer of cheese and possibly some butter and you got yourself a hit
