My wife has just broken both arms, disabled my legs, removed my credit card but has allowed me to continue watching, whilst my dog holds a "dribble cloth" under my chin. I reside in NZ, we do not even have distributors here that have the same quantity of stock as being shown in this video. An amazing review of just one source of (multiple) modelling product.
@@paulcharters5933 -Yes The "Big Gorilla" is not a bad source, have used them several times; recently got a Merkava MBt from them; but we do have the same level distributor as the German Company; maybe Plastic Models in Christchurch might get there.
I was there last weekend too. My hometown is just 10 min away. Didnt even know they had a Summerfest at MBK till I saw your Livestream. Thanks for that Andy. It was really interesting there and they had some great deals too.
You right ! @@randycheow4268 When I start modelling, (About 17 in that time) my mother was no happy. Today (56) mi wife is not happy too. The manofacturers should be a campaign to seduce mothers and wives.
“A kid in a candy store.“ that nails it on the head for a lot of us. 😂 But seriously it was nice meeting you and your family. Glad you liked your trip to Europe.
Hi Tim! It was a pleasure meeting you as well. Thank you for coming and I hope you were able to pick up some new kits while you were there. Thank you for watching!
Great video. If you are ever in England. Go and visit Hannants. They also have a huge warehouse. It's open to the public and only 60 miles from me. It's an interesting hour or two wandering around it. Can seriously damage the bank balance though.....
It was so nice you did this video for us Andy) You put heart into the hobby, so much so in fact that you got me back into it after a 4 year break) So thanks for that) Love all your vids)
MBK are a great company I get most of my kits from them. Great prices, amazing shipping rates and the one time I needed it their customer service went above and beyond! I still shop local for paints and supplies though, it's how my local shop makes most of its sales.
I enjoyed your tour even if it was a little on the fast side. What spoilt it for me was the fact I couldn't stop thinking what a disaster it would be if there was a fire.
Such a great store for stock availability. If you can't find something somewhere, MBK probably has it. I remember scouring the internet for the famous Superking book by David Parker, couldn't find a single one (at least not for ridiculous prices). Went to MBK - 5 of them at retail price.
Hi Andy. Thanks for sharing your movies with us. I appreciate it and im not even making models myself :-) I stopped in the year 2001, but i never lost interest. Maybe one day i will start it again, i still have all my tools, paints and such.
Wow! Thank you for the WH tour! I never knew that there were so many other model kit brands out there! Like what you said, if I were there I’d be like a kid in a candy store!
Wait, lol i remember ordered 1:144 Maus and and E-100 ready built model from the MBK few years ago. For real i din't know they have such a big business !!
You know I am pretty impressed with the many, many great kit companies out there now. modelcollect, zvezda, revell-de, ulm, ibg, hawk etc, all make great great kits. Far better than the 70s-80s when I last built kits. Just wish they werent so expensive....
In Finland Revell is the most common model maker when you go to supermarket toy section, it has always been that way, they sell almost exclusively Revell models.
I've never seen Andy so speechless as here on a tour of the MBK warehouse. Maybe in the distant future you will have such a warehouse in the States. In any case you made a nice video. cu Markus
Those Ark models are Moldovan. Instructions are brief, sprues have no numbers; you just have to match the shapes on the instructions to the pieces. Some interesting types that I haven't seen other manufacturers make though. Go ahead, buy one of you like a challenge. 😂
You've never heard of Ark or Diopark before? Diopark makes some really unusual and useful diorama accessories. Gekko coming out with modern British troops, hope can find a source in US for.
Thank's for that upload! You're Lucky man. So; that was the missing upload from the visit, that was surposed to be live (?) Anyway; can't wait for your next upload. Cheers..
Thanks for this Friend! would of liked to see what was lurking behind the camo netting!! must get to this place one day soon. Like you said like 'a kid in a sweet shop'
At 10:30you mentioned Heller kits that are kind of rare. Why is that? Did they go out of business or just not selling in the U.S. Thx for the video. This is so wild.
I was at MBK in April this year and picked up a few things as I live in Canada now, i think Chris? (the guy that does their unpacking videos) helped me at that time. Glad you were able to get to my old hometown of Bremerhaven to check out the Wilhelm Bauer or the only Type XXI U-Boat left in existence, hope you took the time to check out the rest of the ship museum as well as the Klimahaus and the Auswandererhaus - just up the road. I am a bit jealous of your tank museum tour as you were allowed to climb into them. I meet with some of my old army buddies at the museum every time I am back in Germany, awesome museum for any armour enthusiast.
It's quite funny watching your face I'm used to this stuff but there is masses of us accessories that we can only get at massive import charge prices .
love the videos andy wish i could visit but its a bit of a drive from oklahoma lol, your videos are such an inspiration, i'm about to start a tamiya leopard 2a6 with the alliance detail set cant wait for it to get here!!!
