    is the rear suspension custom? it look like there placed further up than on the stock cb350, also, could you possibly hook me up with the name of that seat and those forks? i'm building my own cl350 rn and yours is just so goddamn awesome! also, did you just cut the ends of the exhaust so there's no muffler? thanks a ton!

    • @TheDAVlD
      @TheDAVlD  7 лет назад

      techno wafflez The rear suspension was a miscellaneous set of springs I picked up off of craigslist, I hate to say but I can't say what they were off of. This is a CL 350, so it's not the exact same specs as a CB 350. The forks are also stock CL 350 forks in the seat was just a generic one off of eBay, the seller I purchased it from no longer sells it, though you still can find it under brown café seat, or hump seats on eBay. Also the exhaust I just took a angle grinder to the downpipe's right as they hit the muffler, resulted in a real nice grizzly tone. The CL 350has only two pistons which are much larger than most CB 350s, which have four smaller pistons. That's why this tone sounds so aggressive. Goodluck and happy building! 👍🏼

    • @TheDAVlD
      @TheDAVlD  7 лет назад

      Is it this exact model? because a lot of 350cc bikes have 4 smaller cylinders instead of 2 larger ones, which gives it that aggressive tone. I also increased the primary jet size to 1 size higher than stock, and there are no baffles at all. It is completely straight piped!

    • @TheDAVlD
      @TheDAVlD  7 лет назад +2

      Joe Crockett these are actually the stock tires from the 80's! I hate to say but I'm not sure on the size as of this moment, for the bike has sold months ago

    • @joecrockett5715
      @joecrockett5715 7 лет назад

      one more question- what did you do for the frame that the seat sits on. did you cut the back end of the frame and weld a loop on?

    • @TheDAVlD
      @TheDAVlD  7 лет назад

      Joe Crockett considering that part of the frame was already pretty straight and plain, I took a rubber mallet and worked it into a hoop shape and welded it together. So its technically the stock frame bent, welded, and sanded down to look flat and clean

    • @TheDAVlD

      I went 1 size up on the primary jet!

  • @dman2553
    @dman2553 7 лет назад +1

    What all did you have to rejet because of the straight pipes and air pods?

    • @TheDAVlD
      @TheDAVlD  7 лет назад

      Connor Bias I just increased the primary jet size to the next size up, pretty much to compensate for the lack of back pressure because there was no more baffles. Also slightly compensated for taking the airbox out, so the air is much quicker to get into the carbs, putting in a bigger primary jet allows it to keep up the gas flow with the faster air intake

    • @dman2553
      @dman2553 7 лет назад

      david perri Ahh ok so you didn't have to rejet your idle or slow jets, just the primary because of the back pressure and air problems. Ok thanks I appreciate the response
