Yes, the basics ... I've had to learn over the years not to neglect them.
I also have a simple formula for everyday life: a striking piece of clothing, usually a blouse or jacket with a beautiful pattern, bright colors or a very unusual cut, plus a statement accessory, the rest of the outfit consists of basics.
I love things that are a bit over the top, but with this formula they always look chic.

Thank you so much for this video. I’m 56 and found the kibbe system about 2 years ago and this has been really helpful. Other things that are really helpful are knowing your lifestyle and as you mentioned sticking with your color palette. This spring I will spend a chunk of 💰 on a great pair of high quality shoes. Doesn’t mean designer just high quality. Thanks again

That's so true... the last two years I had horrible shopping habits and an almost obsessive need for decluttering :D . So I got rid of all my old basics but only bought statement pieces (most of them I don't even like anymore). Now I am confronted with a wardrobe that is the maximum of incoherent. I can build two winter outfits and one summer outfit. That's it :D So I went online shopping yesterday, and got only basics. I created a ppt presentation with all the pieces I liked to see, if they match. I hope so much that this was a successful strategy. Saturday I will know more :D
