Written recipe for those interested: 3-4 tbsp oil, heat on high 1 large yellow onion chopped, fry until it becomes yellow and begins to brown 500g chopped okra, add and fry on high flame for 5 mins Take everything out of pan 3 tbps oil, heat a little bit (don't want cumin to burn), add 1tsp cumin, once smell comes out, add 2 tomatoes puree 2 tsp garlic and ginger paste 1/2 tsp turmeric 1tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp cumin powder 1.5 tsp coriander powder Salt to taste (1 tsp is probably good) Mix and keep cooking until oil separates and comes on top (probably 4-5 mins) 4 tbsp yogurt/dahi (pre-beaten) 4 tbsp cream Mix in and cook on high until masala becomes thick and oil comes on top 2 tbsp lemon juice 3 split green chilies 2 tbsp cilantro Mix in bhindi Cook on high flame for 5 mins (do not cover) Once done put in 1 tsp garam masala, cover and cook for 3 mins on medium or low heat until oil comes on top
