One of my favourite Disney songs, still meaningful specially now.
Oh most definitely...
@@nerdguru86 I'm glad I'm not alone 😂
She is a beautiful, talented woman, and I love her unique voice.
So True...
Brava! One of my favorite songs ever composed. Brings back memories of another lifetime as a native when we were one with nature and honored Mother Earth with all her beauty and empowering energies. Vanessa, your voice is as beautiful as you! Thanks for singing this inspiring song! Love, love, love to all the other musicians who also made this happen.
Gorgeous comment. Have a great day and Thank you ☕
It’s not about Disney. It’s about the perseverance of one beautiful Woman, Vanessa. She shows up, she delivers and she’s a forever shining example we should never give up on our dreams!
Happy to hear Vanessa is still singing publicly. I have always loved her voice. ❤️
"Colors of the wind" and "Save the best for last" by Vanessa Williams never get boring. Always a pleasure to listen to. Greetings from the Netherlands
Vanessa is so beautiful and what a talent!!!
25% my of heritage is Penobscot Indian. This song hits home every time that I hear it. We are all just a short-term guest here on mother earth.
She not singing she telling the story
Perfect comment.
Ohh I couldn’t agree more 😍😍😍
That's what I thought ^^
Such a really beautiful her story
@qeirhash6825: yups..!..agree..👍👍
And so beautifull
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think this performance is so much stronger than her original rendition back in '94 or her performance in '04. She has so much more elegance, grace and is able to sing in a speaking tone - telling a story. I hate to say it, but it's her age that has given her so much more to say with this song.
I remember seeing and hearing Miss Williams for the first time at 6 years old and being completely blown away by her beauty and talent. 30 years later she still has that exact same effect.
😍😍😍
Miss America 😍🥰😍🥰
Every time Vanessa sings this song it gets better
Otis Williams like a fine wine Vanessa gets better with age
Like she lives with that song. What a legend 👍👍
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think this song should be the anthem for our one and only planet, Earth if there was one. English isn't my first language, so it took a while for me to fully understand the original English lyrics, but now it hits me so hard whenever I listen to this song. Also, I can't stop admiring the true winner of Miss America 1983 for her timeless beauty, talent, strength, and dignity. I hope she never stops kindly stunning us with her charms for a long time
Beautiful song.
She had a great voice in Desperate House Wives and she has still got it! Love that she did this song, and in her own way to!
She is the actual singer of this song, since the beginning. :) you can find it on the web.
Isabelle Brands No she is not. The original singer in the movie was Judy Kuhn.
Yes, and Vanessa did the original over the credits version
She’s the original singer of the “after-movie” version
Just like how Demi Lovato sang “Let It Go”
vanessa sang the pop version that was a hit.
She is getting more Beautiful with age!! And as Always the voice of an Angel@!!!
Very tasteful vocal.Good job..I never thought of her as a real singer but she really does fine. Looks beautiful as usual!!
Amazing song and touching
My favorite song by Vanessa Williams
Vanessa Williams is one of the beautiful women!!!!
never will to disappoint her fans....still mesmerizing and killing the song as it was
Vanessa is still gorgeous!....lots of love from Malaysia..😍😍😍😘😘😘
Awesome song and touching
Still a beauty!
*_Vanessa Williams' voice was so soft as silk right now_*
This has to be my favorite disney song.
Special song and touching
She’s still doing great😍
She still sounds like Vanessa Williams.
Wow! The incomparable Vanessa Williams!
This one was my favorite Disney songs along with Reflection and How Far I'll go. Funny for the fact, I love this song after Gabby Barrett from American Idol sang it on Idol 2018 back then
COME THROUGH auntie 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I love this song...

🍂🍁🌿
Ex miss América. Essa é nobre.
Never cut off the applause ☝🏼😵
Timeless piece.
She's a woman. Not black, nor white just, a woman. A very talented, and deserving, woman.😊
She a native American, what I mean a red Indian
@@lailalala8624 what?
The bass player is awesome
Great voice
Uwielbiam ten utwór "Color Of The Wind "(Kolorowy wiatr)-💞💔😪🎶🎤🎹🌍🌐
Timeless
Amazing breath vocal. Sometimes the musicians playing the wrong chords, they needs more sfx, reverb and delay with more decay but she is a big artist and better singer. One of the my favorite singers of all the times.
Because Earth is their heaven the green tree the tree of life and 7 days of creation
I love this song by Vanessa Williams and Leah Salonga version but i esp the animation of this song
Essa musica é bem bonita. 🇧🇷
Song is still true today. That's sad.
Giving Streisand vibes
Why is the pace so fast??
Disney voice singers are no joke
Man I wonder who ever wrote the lyrics were on mushrooms. How can you come up with lyrics like these. So deep like super deep.
Never heard this before.
❤
🤗🌴🙏💎
Play it at 0.75 speed ;)
Tempo of the song sounds too fast then the original
#vanessa
You think I'm an ignorant savage
And you've been so many places
I guess it must be so
But still, I cannot see
If the savage one is me
How can there be so much that you don't know?
You don't know
You think you own whatever land you land on
The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name
You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew, you never knew
Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon?
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest
Come taste the sun sweet berries of the Earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once, never wonder what they're worth
The rainstorm and the river are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends
How high does the sycamore grow?
If you cut it down, then you'll never know
And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
For whether we are white or copper skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountain
We need to paint with all the colors of the wind
You can own the Earth and still
All you'll own is Earth until
You can paint with all the colors of the wind
Sounds nothing like back in the day
a bit fast.
she talking to a colonis ppl... hohoho
Background singers are not singing
😥😭 c'est moin magique, elle donne moin de fantaisie sur sa chanson. Elle perd beaucoup de charmes c'est dommage 😭😭😭
It's all well and good, she's pretty, she's talented, she's this and she's that..One thing she is not. She isn't Judy Kunh..Because there's only one Judy Kuhn, and she is the best of the best there is, and no one can touch her with this song. Not even Vanessa Williams...Sorry!
She better not sing this.
Who’s here after seeing Freckled Fairy in AGT? 🙋♂️
She is a one song wonder.
Not one of her best performances.
Judy kuhn's Colors of the wind is more far beautiful, classy and better. Vanessa murdered the song with the curls she's making. Judy's voice is full emotion and impact. Just saying.
Edit: for those who will ask if i can sing, Yes i can sing.
Ok
I actually like tori Kellys version of this song much better. Just my opinion - no haters please! In this performance vanessa doesnt seem to be singing properly?
@Knowledge I First of all, what's with your grammar? Second of all, Judy's version is much more difficult. She sings in a higher key and holds the notes more. On the other hand, Vanessa sings in a lower key with a more speech-like cadence. Judy is classically trained, Vanessa is not. Compare how they sing the "How high does the sycamore grow?" part. Judy's note is much more full and and resonant while Vanessa sounds a bit squeezed. Also compare this to Vanessa when she was younger here: ruclips.net/video/H8UIfeFkdsA/видео.html Her high notes are much shorter than before and she now has more breaks between the notes and phrases whereas she had more legato and sustained notes before. On the other hand, Judy sounds pretty much the same except for her voice having become darker and heavier from age over the years. Lastly, Judy is a few years older than Vanessa. My overall impression is that Vanessa, like most pop singers, sings more to show off her voice while Judy, like the musical theatre legend she is, sings from her heart and emphasizes the meaning behind the words. She sings every word as though she means it and gives the song a different depth. There's reason, most Disney princess singers come from musical theatre backgrounds.
@@Ihdc1 the other singer, judy, sang it in a more broadway fashion and so it fit the movie. however, vanessa sang it with pop and soul and as such became a hit, deservedly.
@@daveheel I think Judy's version is much more emotional and deep. I always dislike pop versions of Disney songs because the pop singer's runs and riffs break up the phrasing and melodic structure of the song.
i dont understand hw this got best lyric oscar... when talking about his wrong belief that "the earth is dead thing" , she shud b saying with an "and" before that line...so if it was like "and the earth is dead thing" .. then it wud hv been correct like a complain on his belief... otherwise the meaning is totally getting changed bcz now it looks as if she believes that earth is dead thing... and at the same time she also says the rock has life & spirit...which is contradiction..:))
No emotion
This sucked
Like you can sing better than her.
@@GachaAki lmao
Your ears need some serious cleaning
Funniest joke ive heard all day
like yo mama. lol
She butchered this song.
Legend.
