I had to test both my self out doors. With diferent music styles. Techno, Singer , classic, hip hop and rock because this are the generes I listen the most.. The high resolution sound quality of the motion plus is way superior than the motion boom. It's true that the boom bass is much better, but unless you will only hear Hip-hop and Techno only the plus offers the best quality overall. I would say that if you listen rock and instruments music you will prefer the plus by a lot and if you prefer hip-hop and techno the boom is the best way to go.
Grabbed the motion boom because of your video on it, and think it will be great for outside and while working and everything. Now I think I may need the motion plus for inside!

There is indeed two passive radiators on the Motion+. Man I love both of these speakers. The Boom for the big low bass and the Plus for it's incredible mids and highs clarity. If only we could merge these speakers together, it would probably be THE perfect speaker. Can't wait to receive my Motion Boom later this week !
As long as portable speakers have 3.5 minijacks you can daisy chain them to your heart's content. I've done in the past up to 16 speakers of all sizes, and if they're not "out-of-phase" (the sound slightly delayed from one another) you're in for a treat! You realize that certain speakers bring up certain instruments to the point the music can almost be "seen". It's pretty amazing!
Not sure that these two can be connected via aux connection as the ones they have are both input For that to work I believe one would have to have aux out going into aux in in the other speaker

I had the Flare plus and sold it. Too lean sound and not enough deep base. I just got the motion boom and man this thing can rock. Nice deep bass and clear sound without too harsh for highs. I don't miss the tweeters on the boom.
Came late to the party..but still that motion+ is a sweet product even today! The smaller (it's actually still pretty much a underarm 😀) speaker, makes it easier to stash somewhere. Totally amazed by its possiblity to sound this huge!! And it sounds so good. Very neutral yet thumbing..good for all genre.. and extremely loud! Really pushing it and pushing the EQ, you can find it limits. And it can start to crackle just ever so slightly. Yet this thing is blasting out tunes like there is no tomorrow!

FYI, you CAN get the Boom and Plus to pair together (using Samsung Note9 anyway) but the signal processing is not the same between the two units. The output was slightly off between them causing an echo like effect when playing music with them both paired so I would not recommend it. Both are very good individually though.
Yes i tried that dual sound mode with android celphone, its good for Headphones but its has this delayed in speaker for some reason I tried my Rave Neo and Cheap Bluestone $20 speaker and they have no delay in sounds but its just pure luck.

I skateboard with friends regularly and generally want a loud speaker to use as we skate around, I carry a backpack with me aswell, between the two (or even gettin a stereo setup of the motion +) which would you say is better in that setting?

I am an absolute Fanboy for Soundcore I bought their Flare + at the time it came out and I still believe back then it was the best Bluetooth speaker you could buy for $100 now I'm rocking to Soundcore Rave Mini stereo paired

Like you say the boom is geared towards outdoors. it has twice the battery life, and is a power bank itself so you can charge your phone off it. It you plan to use it for camping or out on the deck/yard, the boom is the better choice for that.

You summed it up well. In the context of how I plan on using the Motion Boom, I am very impressed. I have two Motion+ speakers that I use in stereo. In general, I only like Bluetooth speakers two at a time and use them in stereo. However, I only bought a single Motion Boom. While the Motion+ stereo pair sounds better than the single Motion Boom, the Motion Boom sounds great! Such a comparison misses the point. I have not tested it, but I think my pair of Motion+ would sink to the bottom of the lake if they fell of my boat. I would imagine that two paired Booms would sound great in stereo, but carrying two Motion Booms would simply be too bulky for my purposes, especially considering that I already have a pair of Motion+. Additionally, when used outside, you are not generally going to be ideally located between the two speakers.

If they added tweeters to the Boom then that would’ve made the Plus obsolete imo

I bought the d9, but I think I'm going to buy these ankers. Probably by the boom first.
I have the motion boom and the battery was good for a while but after about 3 months of use it goes from 100% to 50% in only two hours at full volume
