Hello! Just found you guys searching this trail. We are planning on taking a couple of ebikes up to Piedmont and ride this same route. After watching this video I’m ready to go right now. Thanks for sharing!
We just rode a small part of it today. The bad thing is,it's practically been in my backyard my whole lol . Have yall got to check out the Virginia creeper trail yet?
Hi Thomas! Chief Ladiga is 33 miles, then it connects to the Silver Comet Trail at the Alabama-Georgia state line for another 61.5 miles. It’s a beautiful trail! Thanks for watching!
We are planning on starting the trail in Annistion.....and going to Peidmont, then on to the Silver Comet. Brandon will be shuttle driving us from Rockmart to Piedmont.
Cool video. It is a shame that we live about 2 hours from there, drive through the area often, have even hiked the Pinhoti Trail, but have never ridden the Chief Ladiga Trail. Hope to fix that soon! Enjoyed the video!
@@bethelshiloh Yeah, since I made this comment, I’ve ridden the Chief numerous times. Hate that they closed the campground. Had a big trip planned, centered around that campground. 🤦🏻♂️
Great video, thank you. We are headed to FL to get warm in a few weeks;-} are going to stop, spend a couple of nights and ride the Chief Ladiga trail. We will go from there to Blackwater SP and ride there for a few days. We are staying two weeks at Fort Pickens, any advice on where to bike or hike around Pensacola beach area? Looks like you two are fairly local.
Hi! Yes, we live in Milton, pretty close to the Blackwater River Trail. We have videos on that as well as the Pensacola and Navarre beach trails. We have a hiking video up and the MTB trail is also great for hiking. Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip and let us know if you make it to Milton to ride the Blackwater!
@@TroyandAndrea Thanks for the advice and videos, we've watched all of them. Any favorite restaurants in Pensacola beach? Any places we shouldn't miss?
I've ridden that trail many times. I can tell you, keep your wits about you as you go through Esom Hills as it nears the conversion to Georgia's Silver Comet. There are more than a few "questionable" folks around that area. I teach with a friend who grew up there and she always reminds me to carry protection. I have come across a few of these individuals. You wouldn't want to be on the trail alone, especially if you're a woman. Still, it's a great trail and worth the ride. Just be mindful of the shady folks.
Hi! I ride a Giant Roam Disc 4. It has been a great bike for the trails and I highly recommend it. I own a road bike, had other bikes, and recently ridden other brands. I can honestly say that the Roam is a quality bike at a great value. I plan on doing a review of my bike in an upcoming video. Here's a link to the model I have: www.giant-bicycles.com/us/roam-4-disc
Nice! Does the trail head in Alabama have a parking area for someone that was wanting to ride out and back and take a few days? Trying to decide we we’ll walk it or ride it.
I would recommend the Piedmont trailhead as the safest option for leaving a vehicle for multiple days. Check with the Piedmont police for their recommendations. Thanks for watching!
Why do men ride the good stuff and the girls suffer with cheap bikes. I see this over and over 😊again. Perhaps because we couldn't keep up if they had better bikes.
Enjoy your videos! Thanks for sharing! Riding the 2 trails over 4 or 5 days is a goal of mine.
That is a wonderful goal! We hope you achieve it! Thanks so much for watching!
Is there campgrounds mear this?
Made the trip yesterday. Ride just over 40 miles. Had a wonderful day. Even went by Elevated Grounds! Thanks for the tip. Can’t wait to do it again!
Great! Thanks for sharing and we’re glad you had a good experience!
Cheif Ladiga - great trail! Look forward to a video of Silver Comet, especially Pumpkinvine Trestle. Happy riding!
Thank you! Silver Comet is at the top of the list for this year! Tanglefoot is pretty high priority, too.
Great video Troy and Andrea. I rode a few miles of the trail last year, looking forward to returning and maybe doing 30 miles myself.
Thank you! We’re looking forward to going back, hopefully in the spring.

Great! Thanks for watching! Riding it with ebikes sounds like a great, fun trip! Enjoy!
Excellent video. You’re and accomplished videographer and editor.
Thank you, Neal! Greatly appreciate your kind words!
Awesome video Troy!!! Makes me want to go up and ride the trail there!
Thank you, Billy!

Not yet, but it’s on the list! Thanks for watching!
This is a beautiful trail, how long is it? I need to look up more information about it and hopefully ride myself. Thanks for sharing 👍🙂

Beautifully documented video of your ride. I can see why it took you 6 hours with all the camera work you did. Awesome!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for watching!
Kudzu is edible. I try to get my husband to let ours grow. We may have to eat it someday. We are fortunate to live on that trail and enjoy it so much.
Really? That’s interesting. My sister told me that Hosta is too. Thanks for watching!
🚴♀🚴♀🚴♀ Ride On !!!!!
Thanks so much for watching!
Great video you two, but...
Volume Warning🔊 at 11:17 for those using headphones. It gets LOUD!!!
Woops! Sorry about that! But thanks for watching!

Thanks! And yes, we know you will enjoy it, such a beautiful ride!
The Pinhoti actually crosses the CLT about mile marker 7.

Doing this and the silver comet with one of my buddies next week!

Definitely Flounders and Peg Leg Pete’s! Thanks for watching.
What bike app were you using on your ride?
We typically use the Wahoo Fitness app or Strava. Thanks for watching!

Troy, what is the bike you are riding? I am looking to get a new bike to ride on the Comet and yours looks like what I am looking for. Thanks!

i stayed in that same b&b but i didn’t have my bike with me :(
It’s a great trail, so I hope you get another opportunity! Thanks for watching!
Is it easy for new cyclists? I’m trying to get my dad to ride it with me
Yes, it is pretty easy - there are no steep, or difficult hills to deal with and the path is well maintained. Thanks for watching!
Its LA DIG A not LA DIE Ga - Otherwise great video
Haha! Thanks SO much for pronunciation tip! We appreciate it and thanks for watching!

We bought Andrea a brand new Trek bike shortly after this video was made. Now I can’t keep up!

Great videos.
