There is also Hannah and Ingrid that are in Delilah in season 3 they are in the group named Pitch Slapped and Kendall also in Delilah on season 3 but in season 2 she is in Eleventh Hour and lastly if you know Peter Hollens, Peter Hollens is in one of the group named On The Rocks in season 2
Someone said this is like High School Musical, I was thinking it reminded me of Pitch Perfect (which I don't actually want to see) except better and in real life.I'm willing to bet these people know a LOT about working/performing as a team!
He really does have some crazy strength behind his voice. I was so happy to find these. I'd been wanting to watch these episodes ever since I heard Home Free was on here
Dayum. This show looks so much more amazing than American Idol! Several groups of people of different ages/ethnic groups/etc! Also, I counted once, and there's over 80 singers at this beginning!! 80+ people of great talent!
So happy this show is back! I was giggling like a school girl watching the opening performance - which I felt was pretty awesome. The groups are very promising too. And HUGE THANK YOU to Mrduckbear for uploading this.
I still feel like this was the strongest season. There's only one group in this lineup that I don't think - WOW! and have fond memories of their work...
thanks mrduckbear11 for taking the time to upload all the stuff you do...I don't get to watch tv regularly (kids, need i say more...lol) so i watch this after you post them!!
No points to the arrangers of this one - Harmonies were very well laid out considering they were trying to showcase each group since we're just getting to see them, but the song transitions were *terrible*! Good thing the singing was decent :D
starkiller187 Someone good? I think Pentatonix and Home Free are really good, as well as getting the attention they deserve. Eh, it's your opinion either way.
ThePi314Man Ptx were good. Nota, Committed and Home free were less than good imo. Plus season 4 as a whole was diaapointing and the format was wierd and felt forced and artificial.
This season is actually pretty similar to season 2. They have a Groove for Thought (VoicePlay), a JL&TOTT(SCrenaissance), a Men of Note/WiffenPoofs(Footnotes), a Street Corner Symphony(Home Free), kind of a Committed(Ten), a Backbeats(Vocal Rush), and a bit of a Pitch Slapped/11th hour in Element. Sadly no OTR-equivalent though...
Rodolfo Hidalgo Maybe, I thought they were more like season 3's Dartmouth, with a worse lead singer. Time will tell... And also, the Filharmonic seems a bit like Nota(season 1).
starkiller187 That's true... Michael from Dartmouth Aires was for me the best individual singer from season 3. But they are all in the type of fun, dancy and great harmonizing groups. The Beelzebubs was also in this type. Nota had a awesome bass and arrengement, something that Calle Sol tried to do. I think they will win this season, but also Home Free and VoicePlay are very strong in the competition
I kind of agree with you except for Groove for Thought / Voiceplay.. they are completely different.. there's absolutely nothing similar to the groups except they are a cappella. GfT is 100% jazz, with probably the tightest, toughest and most intelligent harmonies to ever have been on The Sing-off, while Voice Play is 0% jazz, they are a pop group, with a more contemporary sound, and more "marketable" than GfT, although imho the septet from Seattle is much better. But both groups are good. There's really no groups similar to GfT on this season. Afro blue from season 3 is the only one that is somewhat alike.
It's 2016 now but it was obvious from the start that Calle Sol wouldn't win. As much as I love salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia and so on I thought they were weak. The only groups that stood out were Ten and Home Free. Further, Home Free was unlike any other group from seasons before since they were the only country vocal band. No one was doing a capella country. Despite the fact that I'm a fan I honestly think they deserved the win.
Great show. Don't think they were singing live for this group performance. Can't blame them, the logistics of setting up a live performance for so many people must be a nightmare.
***** For season 4? I know it was for seasons 1-3, but season 4 had no "live" markings anywhere and there was no live voting element or any reason for it to be live. That was extremely disappointing for me personally, because I know who the judges picked to win (it was obvious from episode 1, or Ring of Fire at least) and I wanted to vote for someone else ;-;
I honestly think Season 4 (out of the 3 I've seen, that being 2, 3, and 4) is easily the most forgettable for me. I don't remember ANY of these groups (except for Home Free and The Filharmonic) and... while I was a fan of this opener, I unfortunately think this was the only GOOD opener of the entire season.
Sara didn’t want to be there anymore. They didn’t treat her right. She wrote about it in her book. But yes, she was the way better female judge of the 3!
I feel like this season is concentrating WAY too much on looking flashy. There are no standout groups. It feels like they are trying to gloss over the music. =( Mostly I just think the bottom two sing off thing is totally retarded. But, we shall see.
I... I'm crying. Full on crying. This is absolutely amazing, simply seeing Voiceplay and Home Free on stage together absolutely blows my mind
Adam Chance is probably there to in his old band
Edit: maybe
@coolfeet Adam Chance was a member of Street Corner Symphony, they competed the previous season
Actually Street Corner Symphony got 2nd in the 2nd season. 😉
You can just see the look on the judges faces (especially Ben and Shawn) how happy they are to have the show back
When I saw this on Tv last night, It was like greeting a long lost friend after he's been away for years. Oh Sing Off how I've missed you.
home free beatboxer was the main beatboxer.. I can tell
That's because Adam Rupp is one of the best there is
Man crush for the week=the high tenor from home free in this song he sounds so smooth and nice the time is exquisite I just wanna hear more of it!!!!!
Then they ended up winning. Even the comments from the time of airing have good taste
@@coolfeet1 tenors will always win any singing tv show lol
Even the first few seconds gave me chills. And when it was Home Free’s turn, I think I died at their harmony
Season 1- Haven't watched
Season 2- Haven't watched
Season 3- Most number of groups
Season 4- Most number of nationalities
Lucky Lucario season 2 is really good! definitely check it out
Season 2 have the best openings
Welp I stil didnt watch season 1 but I watched Nota and Noteworthy
And in Season Adam Rupp from Home free also there one of the group named Street Corner Symphony
When Home Free came in I cried!!!
Home Free is the best. I met them when they came to my home town Redding Ca. It was an amazing concert. They crack me up with their humor.
Someone said this is like High School Musical, I was thinking it reminded me of Pitch Perfect (which I don't actually want to see) except better and in real life.I'm willing to bet these people know a LOT about working/performing as a team!
that's a lot of people on stage and I can still hear Tim Foust ! that makes me Happy
He really does have some crazy strength behind his voice. I was so happy to find these. I'd been wanting to watch these episodes ever since I heard Home Free was on here
Dayum.

Yeah and this season i think it was their last one...But it was the best season. Had the best groups and most talent. Shame its gone /:

Yeeees good to see Mrduckbear again !
oh i remember when voiceplay was just a small acapella group those were the days
At least they got rid of Honey. She is good but not mixed with them
@@coolfeet1 glad I'm not the only one revisiting these haha
@@cbh3 I love this version of some nights
They don't realize it at the time but 2 of the best bass singers in the world are singing together in Tim Foust and Geoff Castellucci. So cool to see.

Aww, I miss this show! They should get together a reunion special featuring all the great groups that have come out of this show!
Thanks for the memories. One of my favorite shows! So much talent on one stage.
I agree
I ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY LOVE "THE SING-OFF" AND I LOOK FORWARD TO IT EVERY SEASON!!!!!
Oof that didn't age well
@@coolfeet1 no it didn’t and I was so disappointed that it was cancelled.
When Home Free sang I immediately knew they would win.
The world needs more this!
Adam killed it!
I enjoyed the sing off, and am hoping for a season 5 to come, we need more acapella music.
You rock mrduckbear. Thank you for posting this.
Thank you so much for posting ! What a wonderful present for all of us!

Just saying, is anyone getting like the high school mean girls vibe from the Elementals?
anthony z duh
Ahh this gave me major chills
Thank you so much for posting this! This is my favorite show but I can't watch it here in Belgium.
Voice Play is from Florida? FINALY!!! A FLORIDIAN!!!
This was legendary
Wow. These people are amazing. Who does all the arrangements?
Thank you for being back mrduckbear11~ :-)
Singing this arrangement for school
Me two we did it came out prefect I did it in front of 7 and 8 grade

season4!!yeahyeah!!!
what the hell this was almost 6 years ago
This was fun.

Element and the Puerto Rican were the worst they should of been the 1st 2 eliminated. I'm glad with who won the entire thing
the PRESENTATION. holy shit.
Rip sing off
Also, rip season 4 on nbc's RUclips. They took most of it down for some reason...
The show is back! It's only a one-off 2-hour special to my knowledge, but it managed to come back either way.
ThePi314Man Well that's nice to know. hopefully someone good actually comes out of it this time.
starkiller187 Someone good? I think Pentatonix and Home Free are really good, as well as getting the attention they deserve. Eh, it's your opinion either way.
ThePi314Man Ptx were good. Nota, Committed and Home free were less than good imo. Plus season 4 as a whole was diaapointing and the format was wierd and felt forced and artificial.
starkiller187 Yeah, I kinda see what you mean. I felt like some of the groups' lead singers kept trying to out sing one another a lot of the time.
Who was doing the bass at first, is it Geoff? Im sure it's not tim
Best Username Ever In their sing off tour the bass line was doing Geoff, so most possible is it is Geoff.
Harmonies are tight in this...but I kind of feel like they shouldn't have had such elaborate choreography.
Yeah I couldn't see the performers due to the "light show", like why was that even necessary?
I miss the epic entrances per groups
High school musical grown up

can you visit philippine please? :)

Great show. Don't think they were singing live for this group performance. Can't blame them, the logistics of setting up a live performance for so many people must be a nightmare.
the opening performances are always live. and it'd be near impossible to get all of those people to lip-sync flawlessly.
***** Thanks for the correction.
Technically none of the show was "live" live, it was recorded over the summer. But it was all recorded on stage yes.
