Awesome job, way to go Yoshi Kanai...from Japan. I remember you in 1999...when you was just starting armwrestling, and had a great arm back then...and just got better has the years went on. Congratulation!!!
Yoshi is a mere 5 foot 8, but he has the power of a 1200lb bull moose! The guy doesn't really have the explosive power of a superheavyweight, but he does have holding power like no one else I have ever seen. Only John Brzenk or Devon Larratt have really displayed that type of iron holding strength that Yoshi has. Much respect to the man.
Dude what are talking about? Holding power like no one else? In 2016 at Haleo Armwrestling Championship during his match against John Brzenk Kanai resorted to kings move going full undertable mode like Michael Todd. That's not something you should call power. Not mentioning that this 5 foot guy weights 114 kilograms or 251 LBS.
@@xerxis301 Uh, if you read my entire post, I said that John Brzenk and Devon have displayed that power. Going under the table to try and hold Brzenk is not a lack of power. Brzenk has one of the most powerful side pressure in all of armsport history. So show me another match against a different opponent where Kanai had to go under the table to hold a guy and I'll buy your argument.
Well, I turned it on shortly before 5:30, and the commentator has spotted something on the roadway! how could this play into this match!? what is going on down there!? lol
@Andre McGoo yeah I agree he isn't top ranking but he was Japanese number 1 heavyweight and did have a lot of good battles the Michael Todd one was wicked lol but not these days fat far better pullers but I just enjoy watching him for some reason
The guy is 114kg, he's no small by no means. He is short for the weight class however. Also size does matter, it's just not the ONLY thing that matters.
If im bresnan and i get beat the first 4 matches, i just forfeit the remaining 2. Have some damn sympathy and respect for your opponent pulling with a damn injury and still whooping you.
A shorter arm is more advantageous than a longer arm if the muscles of the two arms have the same strength. But a longer arm also has an advantage in a different way: people who have longer arms have bigger muscles, joints and tendons than those who have shorter arms on average. If the advantageousness of a shorter arm were bigger than that of a longer arm, people whose height is taller than the average wouldn't be the dominant group in arm wrestling. However, as you realise, the best arm wrestlers tend to be taller and have longer arms than the average humans despite the fact that the population of tall people are smaller than those of the average people and short people. That implies to me that a longer arm is more advantageous than a shorter arm.
Bresnan is obviously the stronger man. Yoshi Kanai just shot first every time. Also, Tim could use a few tips on technique from the likes of Devon Larratt and John Brzenk.
1.Kanai was pulling with a broken right arm, and took pain killers to pull this match. 2.Go watch the replay and see how many times Bresnan's elbow came off the pad the first 3 rounds. 3.Kanai is the current arm wars heavyweight champion, not Bresnan. So yea, Bresnan is obviously the stronger man LOL
Matt Budesa Yoshi is on record as having beaten John Brezynk AND Ron Bath right handed. Meaning he’d almost certainly beat Tim right handed as well. Bagent beat him way back in the early 2000’s when Yoshi first started competing though.
Watch Tim Bresnan's elbow, it came off the pad a few times in the first 3 matches, and Yoshi still won...respect
なんか海外の人たちがコメ欄で金井さん褒めてるの嬉しいなぁ
To me, this is one of the greatest moments in armwrestling history.
A true warrior, and one of the best to ever do it 💪
No doubt! Anyone can see that

Yoshi at 50# lighter and still wins, plus with a broken arm!!!
Bresnan's confidence must be at a low time low.....
Nah like he said he barely trains his left arm after he broke it. It's his right arm that is a real terror
dunno why he bothered to do left arm if thats his weaker. maybe he thought he could win it for free
Because Yoshi's right arm is injured

I don't think the Japanese guy would have appreciated that. He's a tough bastard and would probably not have liked to get too much sympathy like that.

Shorter arm is advantageous in arm wrestling - Lever principle.
