Please help, I just got a 2017 chr, when I’m on a hill and I use the hold button as soon as I touch the gas peddle the hold disengages, and it rolls back, I don’t have enough time to push the gas down to even reach bite point. I have to push the gas peddle down a lot even when driving normally
Check Engine, EPB Malfunction visit your dealer came out lost power. I placed it on diagnostic and it reveals ABS (anti locking braking system) VSC (VEHICLE STABILITYCONTROL) TRC(traction control system)EPB (Electric Parking Brake) C1201 Engine/EV control System Malfunction. This is on my 2018 Toyota CHR. Sir, how do I fix this please?
If you’re still taking questions I have one? My car is making a noise but it’s a 2021 CHR. It makes one when I release my break and I think it has something to do with this feature may you try to help?
I have a Toyota chr and I had spilled something, while I was cleaning it i must of turned it off and I cannot figure out how to turn it back on.. do you know how?
Think this feature is more useful when you are at lights, you have it on and at a red light the car will not start to roll forward after you have pressed the break pedal for 1-2 seconds, once the lights change you can accelerate as normal.. Automatic will not roll back so your description is way off.
Electronic parking brake is good feature when it works as designed. But when it does not work and locks all your wheels and cannot move forward or backward then it is a big problem. I have 2019 RV4 premier, the electronic parking brake does not work. Even when the electronic parking brake is not turned on. The Toyota dealer's technician in conjunction with Toyota corporation technical people are trying to find out for last 10 days without any luck. So be ware.
Holding the parking lever up for like 10 seconds and then a display will show in the middle display saying “something function activated” then it will automatically remove or apply the parking brake when shifting.
recon forsales the C-HR doesn’t offer a manual transmission, but the electronic brake works the same. The auto hold feature would not be available on a manual.
@@JSS many thanks, I bought a Manual C-HR today, in the UK. Maybe Toyota only offer Auto in the US. Our C-HR has the auto hold and what a dream that is!
He's not got his seat belt on, so wouldn't be able to set it. Plus you would normally have your foot on the brake pedal. It won't set, unless you don't have your foot on the pedal. The car doors must be shut too. There is a message to say auto brake engaged - he should have shown this. This is a very poor video and says a lot about the people who gave it 300 thumbs up. Attention to detail is important if you are doing these instruction videos.
@@JSS I imagine they are pre set at the factory or dealership. We had the disks and pads changed and the function was lost. We thought the mechanic had done something wrong. I had to watch and read a lot to understand really how you turn it back on. I doubt many people have a clue about lots of the features, like the door lock, unlock, parking etc. They are expensive, but you get a lot, trouble is you don't know how half of it works.
Love you CHR ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Thank you. Very helpful. Do you have a video explaining a check engine light on for this car Toyota HC-R XLE?
P light is on in orange , How do I switch it off?

I would recommend to take it to the dealer. Sometimes it’s simple, sometimes not.

What does the noise sound like? There is a noticeable sound when it engages. Is this sound new/different than what it usually sounds like?
after pressing you dont need to press it again?
Which button? The brake of the auto hold?

It turned off the brake altogether? What was spilled may be preventing contact of the switch.
is it supposed to make a noise when the CHR goes into park?
You can hear the brake apply. If it is beeping or clunking, that may be an error.
It's just the servo noise. Imagine if you made a robot noise, as you closed your hand.
Thanks, useful video.
Cool! Thank you!
Hi..I have only 3 months with my car...2018 C HR and is giving me a Ebt malfuntiton signal
I’ve heard of these before. It’s best to contact your local dealer.
@@JSS Mine was simply due to a flat battery. Quick charge up did the trick.

Wow! I haven’t heard about that problem. I hope they get it worked out quickly for you
Did they ever figure it out? Mine is doing the same now :(
How do you do to put the parking break by itself.?????
Holding the parking lever up for like 10 seconds and then a display will show in the middle display saying “something function activated” then it will automatically remove or apply the parking brake when shifting.
So how do you clean that break hold area if you spill something? I can’t get through the slits and the liquid is stuck down there. Lol
Toothbrush and water? 🤷🏻♂️
Easy lol not difficult plus drink and eat in a car is just horrible 🤣🤣🤣
How does this feature work with a manual gearbox?

recon forsales cool! Yes we have only Automatic over here. Glad it works for you. Enjoy!
But expirenced that automatic gearbox normally don't roll a lot downhills in Drive?:)
It’s more of a convenience item and less mechanics to wear out over time.
Awesome
nice
today i have the message EPB fault, contact the dealer, the car does not start at all
Probably a flat battery. Try jump start.
😮

Thank you for your feedback. It was new technology at the time. I hope we are all more comfortable now.
