These moments when Paimon and Traveler are separated are becoming more and more frequent, I think the game is preparing us for something big
inb4 a whole part of the Fontaine story where we play as Paimon separated from the Traveler.

Of course she wont be able to do it alone, what my guy pointed out was a possibility to use paimon's POV for a dramatic event in the story. And hoyo has been making archon quests where you specifically cant escape a certain area to not ruin the immersion(like when we first met nahida in the repeating dream, or the new khaenriah quest Caribert).

All of the story quests so far, especially the ones in Sumeru, involves some kind of either traveler thinking or fighting, and Paimon is capable of doing neither, that's what I said. There's a line after finishing the boss fight: "In war, the victor would inherit the right to shape the world, while the losers must turn to ash".
This reminds me of the genshin trailer. Specifically about the part where dain describes natland: "the victors shall burn bright, while the losers must turn to ash."
I feel like we will get to know more about Celestia in Nathan
And the other line in the trailer, I'm assuming we will have to defeat the Pyro archon so that she will tell us what she knows
But in fontaine we will also probably
Know about Celestia cause in that trailer about fontaine dain says " even she knows not to make an enemy of the divine" while contradicting "seeking to judge all other gods"
I'm guessing this means, even if fontaine is the most advanced region, shes still being careful about crossing the line to where it's gonna become the next kheanriah

Unlike the bozos there, she's really "professional" about her feeling and opinions, but "still" civil about it.
This quest had the major implication that the divine nails aren't for punishment for trying to obtain the heavenly power or whatever, but only stopping the influx of Forbidden Knowledge and nothing else. This quest confirms that the Chasm nail is there for that purpose, we also know that the Goddess of Flowers died from getting bonked by one when she helped Deshret access the Forbidden Knowledge, and finally we learn that Celestia didn't do anything to Apep, despite the fact that she's an immensely powerful and dangerous survivor from the dragon era who still openly opposes Celestia's rule, until she tried to obtain Forbidden Knowledge.
@@rushalias8511 maybe Forbidden Knowledge is knowledge that Celestia only wants for itself and gets defensive when anyone else tries to access it.
So now I wanna know what's up with Dragonspine's sky nail. Is there some kind of forbidden knowledge there too? Is it the carcass of Durin? I have so many questions...
@@Serafade It probably is Durin's corpse, yeah. The cold temperature is likely intended to surpress the toxic blood of Durin, which has Abyssal power. The Nail seems to work since crystals made up of his blood has no negative effects on you when you use it, instead it seems to have rejuvinating and warming properties, seeing as it revives the dead white tree and having a crystal "equipped" keeps the cold at bay and applies a Pyro element to your next attack.

Cuz if that happens, they would need to remove Nahida to Irminsul too like how they removed Rukkadevata hence why he's gotten work up on this
Nahida once again proving in every single instance/event/story quest she's in that she's probably the archon whose been the most willing to put herself on the line to help us find our sibling, help her people, help the dragon, bargain with the second ranked harbinger against all odds, and even if she gets a bit too willing to sacrifice herself if needed, we always learn a bit more of Teyvat, its history, and really truly feel like our journey progresses immensely whenever she's involved

Nahida's story quests are always amazing. The game could make Nahida the main character and I wouldn't complain. Shoutout to Apep for being the most adaptable living being, to the point the primordial one couldn't even finish her off. She a real one.
Sad they can't do that for Zhongli but if he was the main character then the story would end because he's that OP.

What I like about this quest is when one of the talk fungi talk to Nahida, "Its not your home, It our home. Please go home".
Made Nahida aware that everything that happened in Sumeru was not entirely Nahida's responsibility even though Nahida was the leader.
From this point of view, it also shows that the God of Wisdom is not always wise in making decisions. This should have made Nahida realize that they are creatures that don't really have any desire, eventhough they can talk.
Not every creature that can talk have an ego for themself...
Many people disliked the english VA esp for this scene but honestly, kimberley making that nervous "na na" is actually accurate. I mean, if i were in nahida's position as a fungus-nahida, i would also be nervous like that.

Nahida is a precious bean or in this one a precious branch meant to be protected
One of my favorite things was his protective the traveler was over nahida, I'm not convinced that they'd be this worried over the other archons and even most people of teyvet. When jean nearly kills herself from stress it's the same worry and advice as they give even today, but for nahida it's a very quick demand and shut down of anything that could bring her harm

Well the other archons are in a position of power where they don't the traveler to protect them. Nahida is both comparably weak and is both a child by in appearence and by archon standards.
So traveler has a good reason to feel protective over her.

The elemental being's voice sounded SO sinister in the trailer, especially that boss vibe in the "no one can withstand the power of the apocalypse" line. I absolutely didn't expect it to be the voice of a wonderful companion.

She said Paimon would needs lots of time to change. Not that she could not. I wonder if that means other gods like Guoba might be able to return with time, or of it is specifically just Paimon who might be able to, or am I looking too deep into this. The psuedo fungus said she could change with time and energy or something, so it really makes me wonder. How much time would paimon need? How much time has it been since she became small (if she was originally big) that paring of "with time" is very important. She has been depicted with time again and again, in our menu, as the "clock on the palace wall" in the little roleplay in the second golden apple archipelago, and the fact that when we got separated we could not access the pause menu. There is no way this is just a coincidence. We have seen a lot of gods turn small, or memories return to the earth in a way. Paimon could be a nascent god, an old god, or something else entirely.

Although it might have been a bit too straightforward in my opinion, I really liked this quest and lore that we learned. Plus, the boss has nice animations and a glorious soundtrack even if it is not hard.
This might be my hopium but I hope Neuvillette has voicelines about Apep, maybe even just a quick mention, anything that would satisfy my sovereign-enthusiast self, lol.
