  • A very rusty Cissy is recovered from her resting place, and towed along Norfolk roads by a beautiful Showman's Engine, Black Prince, before being restored to her former glory at Bressingham Gardens. The project was overseen by Alan Bloom, proprietor of Bressingham Gardens and filmed by James Price.

    I just stumbled on this. Fantastic. One of my heroes. Alan Bloom. What a legend!!

    Amazing how, with advancing years, it's possible to appreciate machines that are over a hundred years old and are still going strong and look great......best not to mention the carbon footprint !

      Carbon footprint is not much as most of the pollution comes down in large particulates, therefore it is nowhere near as harmful to the human body as the micro-particles which are released by modern vehicles.

    Sadly, Alan Bloom died in 2005. He was 98.

    A great film ,, i wonder if anyone could remove the "buzzing" from the sound track?

      @@innermist Hello mate , i quite agree and i would not like to spoil the originality of the film,, i just thought someone like the BFI would be able to "clear "it up a tad? i would still to keep this version, many thanks for allowing us to see this little gem
