WELCOME to my fluid art channel! Today's acrylic pouring video is an experiment using the new Flick and Spin technique that I saw in this video of Nate's: • 'Shards of Winter' A F... . He was inspired by a video from: @AnnukkaFluidArtDesign . I hope you'll stop by their channels and show them some love!!! This time, I wanted to see what the flick and spin would look like at the nexus point of a Dutch blowout. I'm completely in LOVE with it!

I love you used brown! Too many artists are afraid of making it a dominant color, or having it in thier paintings at all!
I rarely do but with that blue, it sooo works! lol!!!

If you are viewing via RUclips you can click the little sprocket looking wheel in the lower right corner - which opens settings - then click playback speed - then pick the speed you want - .25 is the slowest.

That’s really lovely Lisa. I tried that flick on a smallish canvas the other day as I wanted to try and get that twisted ribbon look. Oh Lisa LOL, I had specks of paint all over the canvas and the table. In saying that it wasn’t terrible but wasn’t really good enough to keep, like about 90% of my fluid art it was scraped but good came out of it, I got a lovely shade of blue when it was all scraped into a bottle. Ta heaps mate, take care and see you soon. 💕

Another lovely piece. Do you find the flick method to scatter the paint all over your work area. I am always concerned about the mess it makes. And, can you share how much paint you decide you are going to need when you begin a pronect.
Thanks so much, Pam! Yes, paint goes everywhere with the flick method! It might help to try it outside for the first few times if possible. I don't do any paint measuring like some do but would rather make too much than too little. When I make more than needed, I cover the extra in the cups with cling wrap and save them for another project. You could also make up your paints then put them in squeeze bottles ahead of time...they keep for a really long time that way.

Thank you! Are you referring to the wooden clips that hold the canvas in place? No, don't have any trouble with them but I usually pre-paint the sides anyway.

When you flick, do you have to worry about touching the canvas? or just make sure there is enough paint in the puddle?
Yes! Lol! I worry about both but spinning usually resolves the issues. 😅
