That's true but saying that is also disregarding Novak's effort. In fact all of the big4 was superb this tournament. This version of them would have been enough to win a slam against any other field. It just happened that they all played in the same tourney. AO12 was the best tourney for me.

@@stefanlosty444 2011-2012 was indeed the peak in this regard. All 4 players were mostly healthy and at (or near) peak form. That’s why the 2011 Djokovic season to me is by far the best season in tennis history. To go 10-1 against mostly prime aged Federer and peak Nadal, and to beat Nadal in 7 straight finals, is absolutely unheard of. Imagine a 91% win rate against two 20+ slam winners…that’s just incredible. I remember at the time people almost couldn’t believe that level of domination was possible, considering the competition.
Nadal had an incredible 2010, but Novak took a huge step from 2010 to 2011. Nadal in 2011 was basically as good as he was in 2010 and was on track to repeat 2010, but Djokovic improved. Nadal was actually so good that he made 5 straight slam finals from RG 2011 to RG 2012. Federer may have been slightly worse than he was at peak, but not by that much. He was still competing for slams every time and was only 29 or 30. Murray was also very, very good but still a level below the big 3. I would say 2011-2015 or 2016 (depending on how you look at it) were the strongest 5 seasons in tennis history, competition wise.

I like the BIG3 games of this era the best.
At this time, Rafa's footwork had already dropped and Roger had lost the movement and the Dangerous Forehand that he had in his prime.
But both players should be technically better players than they were a few years ago.
Rafa's ball distribution in particular would have been much improved from a few years ago.
The BIG3's game was most attractive in this era, when they did not rely on their sturdy bodies and chose the right shots.

They think "the west" won't give them a fair shake. Whenever the world thinks of Serbia, all they can think of is Novak Djokovic and crimes against humanity. It's almost like their entire personality & national identity is wrapped up in Novak's success on the tennis tour, living through him vicariously. That's why they screech about biased commentators and weak eras everywhere etc. Any perceived slight, criticism, or just generally not sucking off Novak 24/7 is this massive conspiracy to personally insult them. Reality is, nobody cares, people just wanted to watch great golden era tennis. As much as I hate this expression, but Federer really does live rent-free in their heads.
