I tried the first one before. Felt perfect relief for 5mins. The pain on my right rhomboid has been with me for over a year now maybe almost 2. It is sickening me especially right now where I lay down on my bed after a long day. I feel like I am a humpback 😢 thank God it is looking perfectly straight but the way it feels is the other way around

    Hey Jared! Good timing 😊
I have had a very sore shoulder and neck this past week, I just watched your should and neck stretches from a few years ago and now this one. I am still sore of course, but I do feel my neck has loosened up quite a bit after doing these exercises.
This is what happens when I stop doing yoga for a few months and spend too many hours working on a PC! Although It may have also been caused by sharing the bed with my cat; I noticed my arm bent uncomfortably to accommodate him lol, that or it's my pillow!
I am slowly increasing the height of it. Always used to sleep on a low pillow, it's nice when laying on my back but when on my side, I typically rest my head on my arm, so I think my neck has always needed something higher. Maybe I'm also prone to this due to having scoliosis.
Started applying ice to it today as it has been quite swollen. Will give it another week or two of stretches before seeing a specialist.
I will make sure to get back into daily yoga again! All the more reason to now 🙂
Congrats on the success of your channel! Keep up the great work!

The three reasons you mentioned are a small part of a large group of problems that may be the cause of pain in that area, including, but not limited to, shoulder dislocation, sciatica, and frozen shoulder.

Rhomboid pain occurs not just because of lack of mobility, it also can be caused by sports bras, especially the tight ones in women.

I used to suffer quite a bit from rhomboid pain, and i used to get a secondary issue with occipital nerve pain around my head and neck until a chance conversation with an old time rugby physio told me to try ' what he called ' the shoulder blade cross over just like the exercise shown in the video, face down on the floor. Its been a game changer for me. Good luck.

It won't go away until you train the muscle with proper resistance training with weights, initially the pain will get worse regular massaging and stretching will relieve it until one day it's strong enough to support itself
