My 2019 elantra has the 1.6 turbo engine too and started squealing occasionally on cold starts. It’s at 108k miles now so it’s definitely time to change the belt. Do you think OEM parts is necessary or can I just get what autozone has? Everyone always recommends OEM parts but Hyundai is not actually the one making the majority of parts.
i ordered mine off of ebay ,, gates belts.. good brand 23 dollars free shipping.. ive used after market for over 20yrs have never had a problem with after market.
if your cutting shit just to change the oil id advise you to go to jiffy lube... there crooks but at least they wont b cutting shit just to change the oil.. lmao...
@@tudocervera3764 Actually it makes sense, because in order to change the oil, you have to remove the entire scuff plate... Trimming it around the drain plug eliminates that step... Shit some people just take the plate off and throw it out...
@@GaryAndrisGSA713 ive been changing the oil on this veloster since i bought it for my daughter 5 yrs ago ,, ive never had to remove the shroud or anything else... drain plug is accessible... so is the oil filter..
