I love the fix for the problem you had, I will keep that in mind for my future builds. You might get a few haters for the safetywire job. I wish i lived closer to show you how safetywire.
Personally, I would have test fitted the new hats prior to safety wiring the bolts. Summit could have easily sent you the wrong hats or Wilwood could have shipped the wrong ones to Summit. As a retired Quality Engineer and an A&P mechanic I know a little about quality. As a note, the safety wire tool is used for the entire process no side cutters are used and depending on the gauge of safety wire used determines the number of wraps. 6-8 twists per inch is a generally adequate. The pigtail needs to be bent back and under. This is for aircraft inspections :) What you have done here is more than adequate for automotive use. Now, I have never used Locktite on jets everything was torqued per the manual and safety wired. The inspector would inspect the torque wrench (last adjustment date) watch you torque the bolts, mark the bolts, test a couple if you were new then tell you to safety wire them. Then come back to look at your work. If he or she did not like it - do over.
Awesome. Thanks Danno. Test fitting wasn't practical in my case... not sure if you caught it, but I said the rotors are pressed onto the hubs. Annoying AF. For quality control, the part number is actually etched into the hat, which I double checked they matched the box, and the spec online. Thanks for the wire tips!

Awesome great
Thanks!
Might just be me but red calipers would have looked fantastic against the black.
That would be awesome, if my car was black. But, it's green... not as cool ... ha, ha... Thanks!
@@FastMonty wow...on my phone and in the shop lighting the car looks black. Still would look good red against the dark green.
@@cuzz63 Ha! Yup, needs sunlight for the green to pop. My instagram account has a couple recent "Sun" shots. Thanks!
are you selling your old wheels????
