Timely. I just started homeschooling this year- with a 12 yr old. 🥴 I still think it’s worth it, but definitely needed this encouragement and reminder today!
Ha ha! When I used to teach 8th grade English I said that you just needed to “treat them like toddlers.” 🤭 But I think what I meant was the transition in stages. When I gave my 8th graders clear expectations/responsibilities, clear rewards and consequences and was consistent, they did much better. Very similar to when kids were 2 or 3 😆
Oh, I think so! Push back and fits seem to start about age 9 or 10 with the pre-puberty. But 12 year olds are definitely their own breed of difficult 🫣
